Unless it was all that lagging from the bad streaming in the first half, didn't see the Lin/Beverly combo yet. And of course Howard/Asik. Still alot of exciting things to come.

I still think D-mo would prove alot of people wrong though. It's just one preseason game, and people are acting like it's his last with the Rockets.

You do realize they're testing the lineups right now right?

If only we had some way of determining the rotation through performance, without it counting towards our record. Some kind of season before the season. A pre-season, you could call it.

Canaan had no real Summer league games, 1st game and being a rookie so don't be too hard on him.

Haterade? I'm a Lin fan but jeez he isn't that good... He is a mediocre starting point guard.

He's not at that level. One game, he's not going to hit all his shots every game. Also besides that one block, Casspi was getting creamed on the defensive side of the ball.

    Could Cassipi play the 4?

Thought the starting unit looked really good tonight. Once we get Omer, Cisco, and Smith back, the second unit should be fine.

Yeah. In terms of starting...it's not about who's better but who will make Harden and Dwight better. And that means passing and body movement and hitting open threes. If TJones starts he will not get many shots but will relied up to pass and to move--something that DMo actually does better. Whomever plays backup PF will get more shots and have bigger and better individual stats. It's about team guys. The starting PF on this team will play a "Ryan Bowen" type role...don't expect flashy stats from whomever starts at PF.

Rockets with 2 TOs short of tying their # of assists, messy :p

They looked good from what I could catch in my super laggy stream.
Starters showed more chemistry than I imagined.
Looking at the boxscore I see TJones outplayed DMo though. He'll probably start next game.

I know. Just one game. Just what I saw.

I want donuts to succeed, but it just looks like he's missing something. He's not coordinated enough or something.

I know. It's just been building up all summer, lol. Funny thing is i had a funny feeling that he was going to start, but i didn't want to believe it. D-Mo did alright. He looked lost a couple of times, but i did see him make a couple of good defensive plays in the 3rd. Jones just did( and usually does )better.

Maybe because Jones doesn't know his pace. He was on the floor with Howard and Harden and he was taking more shots than them.

In a recent interview, McHale was wondering aloud about Casspi playing some 4.

Same here, D-Mo looked a little more in tune with rotations for the most part and that is good to see.

D-Mo was disappointing this game. Hopefully he can pull it together, otherwise there's only so long before Morey sends DMo away like MMo.
