A little nervous, only shot once and turned it over in the last minute

Yup. Not bad for a 22 year old. He'll for sure get better, and is better now than he was last year. Also TJones looked good, except for his free throws and three point shots. The Rockets would be foolish to trade away Asik for a PF when right now we have two very promising ones (and also Casspi...who knows about him!)

Darn it. International play is all team ball.
NBA is about individual play plus teamplay.
But in the 4th it is more about individual play mostly therefore you get your superstars.
There is nothing wrong with either system.
DMo was +22 when Harden, Lin, Dwight were on the floor. Bet he is minus when the others were on it.

I don't imagine he was nervous and just missed like Jones was bricking his outside shots. His D was pretty good when playing with the starters and I think he fit in better than Jones with the starters. I'm still open to see who gets the starting job, I still think it's to early to tell.

nope, refs were a little after him though.

he got a tech for complaining. and he had like 3 team techs for touching the ball after a made shot by us (delay of game). Commentators said league will call this and traveling more strictly.

whatever. Go drink your haterade alone. I hate statements like that. They are just different type of players. Bev's steals on Holiday were amazing though.
Lin's Defence was good enough funneling nicely to Dwight, and pick rolls with Howard was defiantly chumming along beautifully like a train. I am sure the stats will reflect this

+/- is such a misconstrued stat. D-Mo was up there because he was with the first team. If T-Jones was out there with the first team, his would be up there also. If D-Mo was switched with TJ in the 2nd line-up, his +/- would be negative most likely.

I am quickly starting to get annoyed with the coaching staff. Really McHale. It was painfully obvious all this week that Jones should have been the starter. Even the guys on yesterdays podcast were all in agreement about seeing Jones as the starting 4. What does McHale do? Start Motiejunas.

Did your trained eyes see him getting bombarded on D? He will never stay on the floor if he can't stop anything

D-Mo is the most polarizing player on the team.

He looks like Ryan Bowen out there with his flailing around, but I like his defensive rotations compared to last year, and he had some good post moves and passes.

D-Mo is a starter for team chemistry. Jones is a better scorer and can create shots for himself. D-Mo being a starter doesn't mean he is a better player. The second team need more of a dominate scorer and T-Jone should be on that second team

Someone needs to tell Dmo that he is playing for the Rockets not the Texans. He just wants to hit anyone who has the ball.

Dwight has a history of getting a ton of technical fouls. He'll get more techs this season than the Rockets had as a team all of last year.

more than solid ... he had the starters and the audience up cheering for him

he shot a 3 that was way out, he shot difficult 2s with Davis defending him. he blocked a shot at the rim. I was going, "Who is this guy?"

I know he has skills, but I didn't know he could go up to this level

Howard definitely changed the Rockets game. His defense was great and offense is greater than people have hoped for or realized. Good FT% did not translate from practice to real game. Glad to see guards were feeding him relentlessly. Seems that there is no backup for Parsons. Lin is more of a facilitator for this game and forseeablely for most of the season. He finished well at the rim. He needs to practice shooting 3 from the corner and the wing more as those from the top of the arc are not going to him. Defense at the 4 is pretty bad and the opponent really whipped our PFs. It seems that this is only advantage Pelicans have over the Rockets. Seems that their coach got it wrong. Great to see Pelicans coach ate a crow on the Holiday talk.

Coming into the 4th quarter he was plus 22? More like he was piggy backing off of the greatness of 2 guys who are the best in the NBA at their positions along with Parsons and Lin who are good in their own right most nights for the first 3 quarters while fouling and getting abused defensively. No dude...not impressed. In this instance, plus and minus is flawed and misleading. When you took those 4 guys from him how good of a teammate and team player was he then? I'll tell you. He was flat out pathetic in the 4th quarter against other bench players! I'm worried about him. I hope this was just a bad game and not a sign of things to come.
