TJones needs to calm down. He's forcing shots and ignoring his teammates.

He played almost all his minutes with the starters though outside of the 4th quarter, right? +/- doesn't mean crap then.

They could be a pretty good team this year.

    For what its worth-

D-Mo missed alot of chippy shots at the rim, but I did see some pretty good improvement in his team defense.

I also thought that he fit in pretty well with the starters. Did a good job of moving the basketball, and he might be one of the better guys in the starting unit that can feed the post to Dwight.

That being said, I think he's still got a ton of work to do. Still dont think he should just get tossed aside by any stretch. He's only a 2nd year player folks. I think either Jones or Casspi get the PF tryout next game. Both those guys looked pretty darn sharp tonight.

All in all, I like what I saw tonight for the potential PF position, and we haven't even seen the Howard/Asik experiment yet. Very good signs.

Looked good: Howard, Harden, Lin, Parsons, Casspi, Jones, Beverley.
    Looked so-so: Brewer, Covington,
    Looked bad: D-mo, Brooks, Canaan

Our core group looked fantastic though. I think you've gotta go with Jones as the starting 4. D-mo just got abused tonight. Once we get Asik back with our second unit, we won't give up leads like we did tonight. Very optimistic for this season.

D-Mo got fancy spins and post moves but he lacks the muscle mass to actually move toward the basket while doing them. Also he fouling like it's a summer league game or something.

    - Dwight Howard and James Harden are good at basketball. Harden played some solid D.
    - Omri Casspi and Terrence Jones look very promising for the PF spot.
    - Lin looks good, smoother shot.
    - Bev is a defensive stud and owned Jrue. Hit some nice floaters too.
    - Parsons didn't really get many touches but looked fine.
    - Rest of them didn't really impress... DMo still has the yips in the post and can't shoot.

Basically: Starters look fantastic, bench is gonna be great when Asik is healthy, PF spot is still up for grabs.

good game overall. Not having a back-up center hurt the bench unit.

Harden, Howard, Lin, Parsons, Bev, Casspi, TJones--check

Brewer is still finding his way.

welcome to the big leagues, Covington and Canaan

DMo better watch out. If he can't get his game up, DMorey will work the phones by trade deadline.

I thought DMo played well too, except for the fouls. What I most concerned with is improvement; and in all the little things DMo looked better than last year. He is very in sync with that first unit, and makes Harden and Dwight better in ways the untrained eye can't always see. His movement, and constant pics, and passing without thinking, is really good for a 22 year old.

I'm a little worried about how guys are calling Howard. Is he now a ref target? what with all those techs?

None of the stats should be taken seriously since winning wasn't even the main priority. This whole game was to get looks at the 2nd and 3rd units.
