    Those who aren't blind saw those two had great chemistry on the court together last season.

    Yeah, it's already been established that the Bev-Lin small ball backcourt is pretty good. Bev is great off the ball next to a ball-dominant guard, be it Harden or Lin. Lin is big and strong enough that you can match him against most SGs.

    Coach McHale says he disagree with you on. Lin is the starting PG.

    That is an interesting lineup right thur. That second unit is very intriguing but ultimately to young and without experience.

    Not bad but how about this line up for the second unit.

    PG=lin (court vision)
    SG=Brewer (for defense)
    SF=Garcia (great shooting from d-town and ok defense)
    PF=Covington (no high on d-mo due to lack of defense)
    C= Asik (top 10 defense)

    As you can see, second unit could keep the scores close while the first unit take a rest.

    No teams in the NBA take out every starter and put in an entire bench lineup.

    The coaches are high on DMo. Whenever and at all times questions are asked about the PF opening, McHale mentions DMo's name before TJOnes basically every time. Notice also McHale played DMo off the bench last season while TJones was the invisible man; then he started DMo and TJones was still the invisible man. The starting PF spot is DMo's to lose. Remember how well TJones played last preseason???...And then we didn't hear from him again until April. Unfortunately it's not who plays better but who the coaching staff thinks fits better the offense.

    Cool, we have both. As long people aren't suggesting stupid trades for B. Jennings or Jameer Nelson, it's all good.

    Haha.... well I'm not a fan of him. Both because of how he misused Lin (in my opinion, letting him and pulling him didn't help him build up confidence), but also because I'm not sure he's the right head coach for the Rockets. McHale would be better as an Assistant Coach, the guy who builds the relationships with the players, and having someone else be the head coach who is able to actually direct traffic better.

    The other option is to bring in an assistant coach who can assist him with the X's and O's. Honestly feel like McHale lucked out having players like Lin and Harden who can operate in a fast paced offense, so there isn't much need to run many plays. That's great in regular season, but in post-season play, where teams focus SOLELY on you and adjust to you, you need to have plays when the other team has you figured out so you don't go into a scoring deficit.

    McHale is like Woodson in NY, good motivational coaches, but not good play calling coaches. If he didn't have Harden and Lin, this team would have looked like a sluggish disaster like they did in the 2011-2012 season.

    not sure why he even wrote such piece, to motivate Lin and Beverley to compete against each other, or to catch people's eyeballs

    The starters are set with the exception of the PF position. I say T-Jones wins the starting 4 spot. Assuming McHale uses an 8 man rotation, Asik and Beverly are locks to see time with Garcia most likely being the third player off the bench. In this situation Lin will have to slide to the 2 in order for Beverly to play PG and Parsons will move to the 4 to accommodate Garcia. Of course this is subject to change due to injury/match-ups/foul situation but in my opinion this is the most likely rotation.
