Grant it, Yao Ming and Stve Francis are very ggod players but they are no leaders. When you're in the hunt for the last playoff spot and the team is struggling, then the leaders need to take over. If Steve was a leader then he would take over games. He's not doing that and it's hurting us. We don't need just a pure point guard, we need a floor general. Someone to take control of the game and Steve and Yao can't do either. Also, Mobley needs to be traded as soon as possible. His basketball I.Q. is terrible. Why would you dribble the ball until there's 2 seconds on the shot clock and then decide to pass it. He never looks for Steve anymore and the reason Steve kicked the ball after Cuttino's turnover is because Posey was flying down the wing for the alley-oop and Cuttino ignored him and jumped in the air and threw the ball away. I think Steve is just tired of Cuttino's selfishness. We need leadership.

They look like the three stooges. I think that Larry Smith is to blame. When the entire team sucks, it's the coach's fault.

I absolutely agree. When you allow your team to play like this then most of the blame goes to the coaching staff.

Can't call Steve dumb and selfish for the entire year then expect him to go back to his old self and take over the game offensively when you get in trouble. This is what we wanted. An offensively limited PG to move the ball around. And this is what happens when the other players aren't hitting. You get blown out.

I very reluctantly agreed. I've said before that Steve seemed to play more timid, I really think the ESPN bashing of him not being Kidd really hurted his confidence.

He's not Kidd, but he's a special player in his own way. I used to love watching him play, he played with the belief that he's the best player on the court and unstoppable. While it made him a little wild and forced some shots, it helps him create a lot more and puts the defense on their heels a lot not knowing what he'll do. And that confidence just oozed leadership qualities. This is some one who in his sophmore season stepped up and said "this is my team" even though Hakeem was still here. A vast contrast from "I don't even want to talk about the playoffs, I just want to win one game ... to see how it feels to win one game." quotes I've been hearing from him recently.

In a game like this, we needed a leader to right the ship. Steve 2 years ago in a game like this, when he forced shots, he would feel like he will make it. In the game today, when he forced shots, I feel that he was hoping not to missed. He's definitely playing scare right now, and usually when there's a Rudy to pick him back up, Mr. Mean sits him and probably bash him after the game for not playing well. Only specaluation but that's what I think is happening. Same goes for Yao and everyone else.

So Steve will have full control? That won't be that good either...

We either need a new coach who is in control. Or bring in a bunch of veterans who can lead. Or bring in a true point guard leader like....you know already. We can't get them anyways.

So basically...all we can do is be patient.

    Forget this season. Too late.

    WE NEED A LEADER THOUGH.

Dont be too critical on Yao Ming and Steve Francis in regards to this disintergration over the last two games. You dont know if it was the Coaches instruction that distroyed the rythem of the Game. A Coach that played Hawkins and Norris at this juncture of the season because he believes in them is bonkers and should be drummed out of the Rockets, as well as all of the Assistant Coaches on our bench!
