This statement sums it up. They give up before the game is over. I see them hanging their heads play after play. They seem defeated in the 2nd quarter.

I don't care if we win or lose some games. As long as we fight back! But we give up before the fat lady has sung.

Timm, thanks for the Red and Silver. That's something that I would actually wear.

    Sharp looking colors!

I just hope that the logo is NOT cartoonish.

Well you can't fight back when you're on the bench.

Coach Mean hasn't even learnt to coach yet but he has already learnt to sit his starters and give up.

This is not the 1st time he put on a lineup of scrubs at the start of 4th either.

It certainly didn't help Sage, but even under Rudy and the last two thirds of the season, they played with no clue or consistency at all. And their offense has gotten worse, not better(even under Rudy), as the season has progessed. It got worse under Mean, but Rudy wasn't doing anything substantial with this group either.
If anything we found out that, if Rudy steps down or gets canned, Mean definitely showed he should NOT get the job! Can you imagine what it would've been like had Rudy not missed time, stepped down, and the job been given to Mean permanently?!?!  Without him having had the chance to show what a horrible decision that would've been? At least now it should be obvious to Les that we need to go outside the organization for our next coach.

Ok, even I would like a trade to happen if it helps the team. Owner? Les is one of the best, don't bash him if you've actually followed the Rox, this was debated before, pull it up. Coach, if I recall, we were up two games on Phoneix and playing pretty well when Rudy got sick, the players look up to Rudy and are willing to play hard for him, including Yao who is here because Rudy put his a** on the line by drafting him and going to China to get him here. If he can coach next year, he should. If he can't, then we get someone cause we don't need Mr. Mean.

FIRE LARRY SMITH - This idiot is a confidence destroyer!

TRADE THEM ALL - If you can not teach them, get rid of them.

Before I go just had to say I agree SA Rocket. But, I have to say, the reason the Rox season has been crap is b/c they players DID follow the strategy. *lol* I mean, aside from the iso...this stand-around watching offense when the ball goes into the post is crap! The players are ultimately responsible, but the coaching staff has to realize the current offense is crap.

It doesn't help that all the players can't hit a fu*king layup or free-throw now.

I bet my hat that in the post-game conference, Coach Mean will say something to the effect of, "my starters weren't producing, so I needed to find a new group of 5 who could get us back in the game."

    Sheeeesh.

EG getting for Mary Jane was soooo stupid. Why now???!!!! This team lacks something mentally. Sadly, if we don't get into the playoffs, it'll be yet another year where the Rox fail to get "playoff" experience. Yet the next closest thing to "playoff" experience are these final regular season games down the stretch. And thus far, our performance has been an F.

Contrary to that earlier prediction, you have to believe that the odds favor us missing rather than making hte playoffs. Winning 3 straight is much harder than it sounds, esp. when we're playing this badly. But here's a sad irony. Like many Rocket games this season, our season is also going to be "too little, too late"

The reason we need to trade Les........is........because he is not being tough on our coaches. We need more assistants..who are good..this has been talked all year long. Plus he lets Rudy and Caroll do their own things - long contracts with which we are stuck --- look at Cato, MoT and that Mooch.

The problem with the Rockets' players is they are mentally weak. They cannot handle the pressure of the big game, and just end up psyching themselves out. I have truthfully never seen a team miss so many point blank layups in a game before.

They just played two of the worst games in franchise history on consecutive nights, at a time when the season was on the line. That is not a coincidence. This team's problem runs a lot deeper than youth.

If the Suns went tonight the season is all but over, so hopefully the Mavs can pull it off. Rockets can't lose another game.

Even if we win 3 straight we need Phoenix to lose. They're playing well...We had to finish the stretch better than Phoenix and instead it looks like the opposite is happening.

I am certain that the Rockets have won at least two more games down the stretch had Rudy T stayed with the team. Larry Smith is not anywhere as good a "Player's coach" as Rudy T is and his elevation to HC has disrupted the team's consistency. Tough way to close the season.

Forget it. Don't try to fool ourselves. I am not sure if they can win 3 straight even if they play Nuggets the rest of the way.

Bingo! I can't count the number of times the Rockets were out-worked (hustled) by bench players from other teams! I mean, we're talking scrubs!

There were about 5 players this year (scrubs from other teams) that got their career high against the Rockets.
