I have been waiting for this movie for a long, long time. Im such a dork. But I like movies but am dissapointed a lot. But its movies like these that make it worthwile having to go see all the other crap they have out there.
Have you guys ever seen a book called The Art of the Matrix? Its a pretty neat book. It has the script and drawings they did to show the producers what they had in mind. They said its because the producers didnt understand what they were trying to do.
There are few movies that feature Keanu Reeves that I look forward to......ok i liked Rivers Edge and Bill + Ted's Excellent Adventure.....oh and he was in Dangerous Liasons, too....wow that was a good movie....oh and I liked Parenthood, The Gift, and Much Ado About Nothing...and Speed was pretty good at the time.. I guess I liked Dracula....and I've seen The Replacements on HBO about a dozen times...and of the course the Matrix ROCKS....wait, maybe I do like Keanu Reeves flicks. I need help. But I do look forward to the next two Matrix movies.
I didn't think it possible, but I am more excited about these next Matrix movies than I was the Lord of the Rings movies.
I think these will be sequels actually worth watching. George Lucas could use a few pointers from the Matrix crew. Things like how to make a movie that appeals to people over the age of 7.
Never. The Lord of the rings movies are the most anticipated movies by me. I love the story, J.R. Tolkien is a terrific writter. I can't wait till Matrix 2. The new star wars was something that got me excited too (Episode 1), but was disapointed...but nonetheless, still a fan.
Am i the only one who thinks the matrix is overrated?? I dont think the movie was bad, I just thought it was okay, and had far too much hype. The special effects were awesome, but I think they rest of it was just alright. It could never come close to the great movie Back to the Future. Anyone feel this way
The first Matrix movie, I heard very little about. Maybe because I just wasn't paying attention. But the 2nd and 3rd movies have been EVERYWHERE! TV, bilboards, newspapers, magazines. Kind of like what Star Wars Ep1 did, overhyped the movie, and then when people didn't like it, it got flammed everywhere.
Damn...stupid no editing rule.... Return of the King is gonna blow all the competition away! T3, Matrix, everything. Oh, and I don't have anything against T3 or the Matrix, I'm just stating a fact (IMHO)
yeah, I saw the first one also without hearing pretty much anything about it and I was amazed. That Keanu Reeves is such a dreamboat!
I think that's the general view. A lot of things about the movie were just good, nothing special. But the things that were great were truly awesome and revolutionary. Notice how many Matrix ripoffs there are out there? Notice how many movies are influenced by it? Heck, fight scenes are completely different these days (look at the new Star Wars). And some of the ideas in the plot were just really great I thought.
I'm the same way. I remember seeing maybe one preview for it before the first one came out. Then I had a couple of my friends with good taste highly recommend it to me, so I went to see it. I then saw it two more times. It blew me away...but I heard very little about it in the way of hype before it came out.
