They only have one player batting over .200 and he's hitting .211 in the 9th spot. That has got to be the worst team ever. I've never seen a line up that sorry before. The Pitchers could do better.

    Higginson, RF .200
    Infante, SS .182
    Pena, 1B .133
    Young, LF .077
    Palmer, DH .158
    Munson, 3B .143
    Inge, C .105
    Santiago, 2B .188
    Kingsale, CF .211

I actually noticed that also. Horrible. I cant imagine being in Detroit and having to root for that team.

I think I saw some where recently that they had only had a runner on 3rd once this season. That kinda sounds like the love life of some BBS posters.

I think the LSU Tigers could take the Detroit Tigers in a seven game series. How can a team in, as big a market as they are in, be this bad for this long?

And the Rockets have 2 world championships while the Mavericks and Kings have 0. So what? This year, as last, the Tigers are horrible.

They were already pretty brutal last year. But they did have Randall Simon and Robert Fick, who were at least serviceable and are now starting for other team. They have now downgraded to scrubs I don't even recognize.

When I saw them hitting Higginson leadoff, I knew they were desperate. He's more suited to hit like #3.

On top of it, their ballpark is one of the worst hitter's ballparks. Hard to hit homers there.

The Detroit Kitty Cats are bringing up all the youngsters. They even brought up Jeremy Bonderman who'd never pitched above A ball before. Hope they don't mess him up because he's actually pretty well regarded.
