Man these guys are fun to watch..they never stop running, and they think at such an incredibly high speed...Do you guys know that shoe commercial where it's people running like a herd, turning together ona dime at full speed? That's what the Kansas break looks like off an opponent miss...and often off of a make. They are crossing halfcourt before the defense is even back yet...it's amazing. They are just an intelligent, athletic, tough, and most of all unbelievably well coached team this year.

They had more talent last year, and were still many of the things they are this year, but the overall team play wasn't this spectacle it is now...Watching them when they're on is a rare treat...if KU had the name/recruiting power of a Duke or UNC, I think that Williams would have had 5 or 6 championships by now...Not saying that Kansas suffers for recruits, and Williams pulls out upsets every now and then, but they don't get the continual stream of top talent like some of the other schools, but Williams coaching puts them into positions where they play above their talent, and that hasn't been able to be sustained for the whole thing yet...Matbe this year, with even less talent than some in the past, will be the one..

They are very vulnerable to foul trouble, being so top heavy, especially since losing Simean.

Anyone else who's watched them play have any comments? I know I'm biased, but I really think we are lucky being able to see a team run as hard and smart as they do, and it depresses me a bit when I compare it to the Rockets...but I have made that point elsewhere...

Kansas continually gets top 5 HS talents and produces fine pros. They are also in the top 5 in terms of BB tradition, best travelling and home fans, and play in arguably the best conference--they should not have any trouble recruiting. The knock on them and Roy is he hasn't had late turney success.

Fine game by them yesterday though. Roy out coached Lute Olsen by a mile and the whole Kansas team played harder and more focused--all the credit to them. I'll route for them to finally get over the hump unless it is against Texas--but honestly I think OU and Texas are the best teams left. Marquette could easily take out Kansas too. Honestly any team left with the exception of MSU could win.

I have to say in all the college basketball games that I have seen in my life, I have never seen a more dominating performance than the one that Kansas is doing.

I, personally despise the Jayhawks simply because they have been so good for so long; however, I do have a lot of respect for Roy Williams.

I was really hoping for a Marquette win and in the very least, a competitive game, but it was not to be.:(

I thought Miles, Simeon and Langford was a top 5 class, was it not?

kinda of funny analysis...first off, spell a hall of fame coach's name correctly. second, kansas was a 3 pt shot from gardner away from losing..not to mention the late game flop to get an offensive foul on walton and steal another possesion. sad for KU, to beat arizona and then choke to syracuse..but that's the tournament.

Yes, but I don't think that much of Miles or Simeon... Langford was their sleeper, and I think he's much better than Miles.

WTF? How did DesertScar misspell Lute Olsen's name? And even if he did misspell it, who cares?

On the spirit of Burn's comment:

The issue is that Arizona never should have been in a position to need a 3 just to tie Kansas. They had dismantled Kansas in Lawrence by over 15 just like 5 weeks before, and should have come into the turney game fresher (easy win versus ND versus a tough draining game for Kansas vs Duke) and they obviously were a deeper team.

Lute's team played passive and uninspired versus Kansas in the first half. It bit them in a game they should have been able to win--credit Roy W for having his team ready to play for 40 minutes when Lute did not.
