So every work decision is based on money? That's stupid. I've fired clients because they are a pain in the ass. As a matter of fact, yesterday was the last day for a client that I had for 5-6 years and they produced over a quarter of a million dollars a year. Guess what, they sucked. I hated life when dealing with them. So we fired them and it was one of the most satisfying things ever. Did I produce a video to tell them that we quit? No, but watching this was fun because it was ballsy and she obviously had fun doing it. I'd have preferred to do it Dave Chappelle style. <iframe width="480" height="360" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/SJQKyti6klQ?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
The purpose of the video was to be ironic. Her boss only cares about her work if it garners Youtube views. By doing this ridiculous video, she's hoping it goes viral, which it did, to stick it to her boss saying "This is what you want, well, you got it, but I quit." And as usual, Swoly comes in here with his idiotic view of the world. I was going to reply back with an explanation of why Swoly is wrong, but then I remembered that it doesn't matter and Swoly will still be a dumbass. So others, don't waste your efforts by baiting the troll. You'll just cause yourself more grievance.
If you don't mind me asking, what service do you provide for your client that you can afford to lose a quarter million/year contract.

Latifah wants to hit it too... <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/hXA9Cq-JHgA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
IT consulting. You guys have to remember that $250k a year is revenue. That money doesn't just drop into my pocket when we get it. We have employees, overhead, etc. Only then do I, as a principal, see a profit on that money. There are many projects or clients that you work on that bring in a ton of money but because they suck the resources out of you that you break even and at times lose money. Other times you have clients that the revenue isn't as big but because they are easy, you make a ton of profit off of them. This particular client brought in decent revenue but because they were such jack holes we ended up spending way more time than was necessary to what we call, petting the puppy. You had to hold their freaking hand through every decision and even then they would go against exactly what everyone agreed to do. Some clients are worth the headache because of who they are and what it will do for you in the market. This client was was not worth the headache, the money, and they didn't do anything for us in the market. I am so happy it is over.
Good for her. I don't quite get how dramatic young folks are these days but at she lived the dream of quitting on her terms and doing it with some flair.
