Facial animations are spot on. No more floating jerseys, body models looks better, skin tones for some players are a bit off but I'm not gonna complain when they look like the real deal regardless. Harden's beard. WOW.
Started the myplayer career during lunch, I had a decent game (I'm a SG) in the showcase before the draft. I believe it was 13 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks. Got interviewed by ATL, MIL, and OKC, and got drafted by the Thunder at #12. I'm James Harden's replacement lol. I didn't play 2K13, so don't know if this is new or not, but instead of paying a salary, you get paid in points, I'm assuming for your attributes.
Would you care to tell me if you have Steven Adams on your team still? There was a glitch last year in the My Player mode where you could be chosen in the lottery, but the team who picked you also got the player they have in real life. Like I got drafted to the Hornets at 10 once, but somehow Austin Rivers was also on the team as well. Really annoyed me.
Not sure, I had to get back to work so I saved it right after the draft when it had a black screen that said Rookie Year or something. I'll check this evening and let you know.
Didnt want to start a new thread for this, but if anyone is looking to buy a game from EA Sports, I have a $10 off coupon (from McD's Monopoly game) you can use online at this site: https://www.origin.com/en-us/store/browse-ANW.html?q=EASportsMcDonalds e-mail me if interested and I will email the promotion code.
Dev said the nex gen trailer is from an older build.. so im sure some audience and players were still being worked on. He mentioned specifically like Durant, because he's too big in this build
They can fix some issues with the audience, but I doubt it will be much better by release. Still going to have the same few models repeated over and over (maybe not so many of the same ones sitting side-by-side court-side though). They'll make some tweaks to stuff like that, but I'm assuming most of the work will be spent on improving the image quality (and fixing little visual glitches), and getting things stable at 60 FPS (hopefully at 1080p). Unless this build was from February or something, I wouldn't expect huge increases in some of those things. Fixing the audience (to levels that I would appreciate) would probably take a pretty large rewrite of how they handle crowds. If it isn't being demoed now, probably won't be until 2K15 at the earliest (and even that's pretty optimistic). They got Chandler's face right (finally), but his hair is now wrong.
Just pre-ordered mine for xbox360. I'm picking it up tomorrow and can't wait. I'm looking forward to hopefully joining the online association this year.
Well it won't look like the next-gen version. 2k does a HORRIBLE job on these commercials with the quick spot and the little text that tells viewers that this is not 360/PS3 version they are seeing. Wondering how many people will see that commercial and think that is what they are going to get.
Playing right now. Really like it. Some slight differences that make it play a lot better. But not anything drastic.
