    CAN Houston beat Seattle?

I mean, if Seattle beats Houston and beats Phoenix, then they're in a better position than us.

Forget everything else. There are 4 games. Don't concentrate on winning all. Just understand that 4 is a small number, it is not like 82. So you can maintain focus on each game easily. Focus on each game like you've never done before. Do EVERYTHING. Defense, offense, passing, and rebounding. Forget that there are playoffs. Just win the last 4.

Yeah, I had to chuckle when I saw Mobley refer to himself, Francis and Yao as the "Big 3." I like Mobes but he is not part of any Big 3. Now, replace Mobley with Brand and you have another story. You can't be "Big Anything" unless you are an all star in my book! ;)

As for the Rockets Playoff chances, they are in serious despair here! I don't like any prediction of the final games between the Rockets and Suns schedule that has the Suns losing the last 3 games of the year. That is ridiculous! And I have seen some prognostications to this effect. If the Suns know that they need to win those games they are NOT going to lose the last 3 games of the regular season.

I can see the Suns lose to Dallas, SA and possibly Portland but that is about it. The Warriors and Sonics can give them trouble but I think the way the Suns are playing they beat those teams. In fact even though Dallas has ALOT riding on the Suns game tonight (fight for the #1 seed) I would not be surprised if the Suns beat Dallas tonight at home. They are playing well! When was the last bad Suns game? Even in the Lakers loss they took the Lakers to OT in LA! The Suns are NOT showing me any reason to believe they will lose many more games this season with the EFFORT they are giving every night, regardless of who they are playing!

To give the Rockets a chance they pretty much have to run the table right now starting with a tough game against Utah, AT Utah.

If the Suns beat the Mavs tonight and the Rockets lose. For all intensive purposes it will be over. I think in that scenario the Rockets would have to win all the rest of their games and the Suns would have to lose all the rest of their games. That just is not going to happen.

Bottom line, the SEASON is on the line tonight. End of story!

How about the 3 time defending champion LA Lakers (11/17/02)? Or the second hottest team in the NBA, the Sixers (4/4/03)?

That Laker win on that date was without Shaq and when the Lakers were 2-7 and was just mentally short-handed. We've beaten them ONE time at home on full strength. The win at Philadelphia was HUGE (at that time), but they simply have NOT shown that they can keep up that "playoff approach" mentality nor played with real consistency this season. They lose countless times to lottery teams by simply putting in a lazy effort and/or being cocky and expect to beat them no matter how bad they might play. Even the sixers are in a slump now, so I'm not sure how legit that victory was. But we didn't follow it up and we played with our heads down and acted liked we thought the playoffs were out of reach. They might have saw the scoreboard and found out the suns had won and just quitted playin' cause they're shots wasn't falling. The quotes from last night on hoping that the suns lose indicates that.

The suns were suppose to beat Denver last night...

We should have, but it was probably one of our loses, although I had them picked to win...

We may squeak in, but that's if the Rox show up tonight...

    Minus Shaq.

And the Philly win was nice, but what I was more referring to was with the heavyweights in the WC. Dal, Sac, LAL (with Shaq), and SA.

I remember beating Dal in Jan of 2001...

What a joke, what a joke.
How many close ones did Phoenix lose? Especially when Penny, Big Jake and Googs were out?
The OT loss at Staples against the Lakers last weekend for example. Missed gamewinner against Minnesota etc etc etc

And the refs even gave the Rockets a win against the Clippers. How can you complain? Seattle should be ahead of the Rockets right now.
