Its looks like Ray Rice is going to play, he was limited in practice for 3 days, (wed, thurs, fiday) but its still a game-time decision.
So, would you guys play him? Right now I have Chris Johnson, Bilal Powell and Bernard Pierce in with Rice and Sproles on the bench. Would you leave it like that or wait until game time to make the Rice/Pierce choice?
First, I think you are rating Powell way too highly. This is how it always happens, a guy goes off, and you have him benched, then the next week you put him in and he is a dud. I expect powell to be a dud. I mean he might get 45 yards and 1 td, or he could be shut out completely. Tennessee's run defense with Jurrell Casey is much improved. I don't expect much from Powell this week. So, yeah, I like Rice more than your other options. If I were you, I'd try to play sit 3 and play 2. I think Chris Johnson is pretty mediocre play this week, and even going forward. The only time the guy does anything is when he has holes and blocking. He doesn't run hard at all, and he doesn't make quick cuts to make people miss. To be honest, I really ONLY like Rice from those backs, but Pierce(since the matchup is good) might be a good flex as well.
jeffrey, obviously. This guys ain't a one week wonder. He's more like Antonio Brown last year. Roll with Jeffrey with confidence.
I actually think it's Moore and it's not even close. Washington's pass defense is horrendous. They'll also have to keep throwing because Washington will score on that horrible Oakland defense.
who's oakland starting at qb? don't screw this guy's fantasy team up this week. moore, even with a good qb, is feast or famine.
Alshon so far this year is 13 catches for 104 yards and no TDs (31 yards rushing too). Moore is 11 catches for 167 and 2 TDs.
I really only recommended Rice and I didn't think any of the other options warranted playing 3 backs this week, which I still believe was solid advice. Powell got 13 points which is pretty okay and cj was terrible AGAIN. I guess i'll take the bullet on the Rice pick, but who knew that Baltimore can't run the football and refuse to use Ray Rice or Pierce out of the backfield as pass catchers. I don't get that.
High draft picks are rarely in sell territory. If you drafted someone that isn't producing you're pretty much stuck with him.
It didn't screw me but everything else did. Dalton sucked. Chris Johnson.....I can't believe this guy rushed for 2000 yards. Rice, flabbergasted at how little he was used. Powell, did better than I expected but was limited by Smith's turnovers and didn't score. Chicago's defense letting the Lions run all over them. The guy I'm playing put up 130. He beat me but that's fantasy for you.
Speaking of which, a guy in my league who drafted Ray Rice is now offering him to me for Pierre Garcon and Knowshon Moreno. I already have Doug Martin and Forte at RB and Torrey Smith/Wes Welker/Bowe at WR. I'm tempted because I love Rice, but it may just be because I've had him in so many seasons past. Thoughts?
