Yeah, but are the Texans coaches smart enough to figure this out? I'm guessing no. The way to win is to own the clock. Right?

Still early but 1/4 of the way through...

Colts 3-1(Seattle, @San Diego, Denver, Bye)
Titans 3-1(Kansas City, @Seattle, San Francisco, Bye)
Texans 2-2(@San Francisco, St. Louis, @Kansas City, Bye)
Jaguars 0-4(@St. Louis, @Denver, San Diego, San Francisco)

Only thing "certain" is Jacksonville is bound to be 0-8.

The bad news...if the playoffs began today, we'd be out.

The good news.. San Diego is a damn good team and the titans have an elite defense that can harass the qb.

We will be okay if we cut the pick sixes to zero a game! 4 pick sixes in a row is an oddity. Surely, it's going to stop. (crossing fingers)

Looking at this actually makes me a little more optimistic. If the texans are 4 - 3 they should be in decent shape post- bye week.

Kubiak can play the b**** all he wants, "it's on me"... yeah, yeah, this crap is old Gary.
But only a lame ass QB keeps throwing dying quail passes off his back foot and into coverage. Time and again. And cost your team 18 total points over four games.
Even a rookie learns by his mistakes. Kubiak and Schaub haven't learned a thing.

hindsight is always 20-20 Kubes....but you shouldve made sure that was the play that was called. Arian Foster was hella mad on the side, and you could palpate his frustration as he was mouthing "why throw the ball"

If Matt checked out of a running play into that play, Matt really should get ripped even more...

    Thoughts on the game:
tale of two halves...but regardless of the good stuff, we have to focus on the bad stuff. Huge fumble by Tate at the 2nd half that led to the only offensive TD by the Seahawks. The Texans defense was terrific. Consider how dangerous the Seahawks were on the ground, one half of the team showed up for both quarters, and the other half of the team forgot that there are two halves in a game.

I think the Matt and Kubiak talk is beat to death, so ill leave it at that. The Texans DLine changes the potent offensive attack by the Seahawks. JJ Watt and Co...was just wrecking plays. The loss of Cushing correlated to Russell starting to make plays with his feet. But regardless, Wilson made as many plays as he was able to. He did what he was given. As i expected, the DBs had a solid game(primarily bc the receivers arent that dominating).
Arian Foster had a wonderful game from both behind the LOS and in passing situations. His value to this team really shouldnt be questioned...And Ben Tate was decent, but his fumble triggered the best chance the Seahawks had to score.

Bottom line: i didnt expect the Texans to win today. But they did so in grand fashion proving what we all already know about this team, they arent there and I dont know if they will ever be.

the inconsistency on offense is appalling...it's a direct reflection of the coaching staff. No way should a team this talented be so mediocre during games.

I could see Indy beating Seattle at home. Their homefield is as good as anyone else's. But it's a toss up game...Chargers are no team you want to sleep on either. Only sure loss is the Denver game IMO. So being generous I'll put them at 4-3.

I think the Titans crash back down to Earth. I was looking at their schedule too. They may sneak out a win though...but not with Fitz as their QB.

Ours is still not easy. St Louis should be a W but those other games could easily be a loss.

Jacksonville, no reason to even talk about this team.

I think it's going to come down to if we can beat the Titans and Colts ourselves. The division games account for half of your schedule after all.

The Chiefs are living proof you can take the same team that sucked last year, bring in a new coach, and make what personnel changes you have to make.
Kubiak sticks with people to the death.
Loyalty to a fault. A BIG fault.
Keep doing what you're doing Gary... and find yourself the quarterbacks coach in Div II next year.

The defense is solid but they're not getting enough takeaways. Only the teams second interception of the season today. Not good enough

    Not really though.

The Cheifs had a HUGE injury bug last year even before the season started.

    They were good enough today.

Not their fault that special teams and Texans offense is putting up points against them.
