I know. The manga isn't too far ahead either, so when you catch-up with the manga you have wait a month until the next one
Apparently there will only be nine more volumes for a total of 20 for the whole thing... If they come out monthly they will finish next year... So I'm guessing next fall/winter for season two. Crunchyroll still hasn't announced kuroko... I thought they would at anime Atlanta...
Can someone recommend a manga that isn't cliche, overly dramatic or emo, immature, or oozing that j-otaku? For instance, I can't read something like Naruto, SAO, Kuroko no Basket, but I've enjoyed Vinland Saga, Vagabond, Claymore, Gantz, and Sun Ken Rock.
Nope. Only chapters are released every month, with about 4 chapters per volume. So probably another 3 years for the whole thing to finish.
might do the same, that episode was really good. Might be a year or 2 before another season so i might as well read the manga.
Omg a chapter a month??? I'm gonna be dying! Good lord! I guess that biweekly is too much to ask I thought it was a volume per month. Man! I'm actually considering purchasing the series. The old ones are only 7 dollars each on amazon
Berserk Monster Akira (manga makes way more sense than the movie) Death Note Hard to go wrong with any of those, unless the sex and violence of Berserk are too much for you. But since you've read Claymore and Gantz, I'm guessing that won't be an issue.
Thanks for the recommendations. I've actually read Berserk and Monster. Is berserk done with? Waiting on new chapters for that and Vagabond for the longest time. I'll check out the other two.
Did any of you watch Slam Dunk? I was thinking someone here had mentioned it. I started it today. The animation is hard to get used to but it's kinda cute. I am only a few episodes in but so far I like the characters even if they seem like they will be a bit one dimensional.
No, Berserk isn't done. Miura is just publishing chapters ridiculously slowly now. Frankly, I stopped reading after around volume 32 or so, with the idea that eventually I'd get to go back and read a sizable chunk rather than a chapter every two months or so. Who knows if he will ever finish the damned thing? Still, it's one of the best mangas around. I think you'll like the other two. And they have the virtue of already being finished. Worth noting that all four of my recommendations have also been made into animes, all of which are quite good. But in each case, I prefer the manga.
Grew up watching that anime. Loved it 'coz it revolves around a character who reminds me a lot of Dennis Rodman (both in attitude and playing style). You should keep watching til his school faces teams like Ryonan and Kainan
I just got to where they are playing the practice game vs ryonan I've decided I'm going to make myself a basketball freak shirt like Haruko
This AMV reminded me that I really need to see Wolf Children: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/FcJ80cd0gG4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> It's directed by Mamoru Hosoda, who is best known for his films The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (2006) and Summer Wars (2009), both of which I really liked. The English version will be released in North America on Nov. 23rd. Incidentally, Hosoda was commissioned by Studio Ghibli to direct Howl's Moving Castle before Miyazaki decided to do it himself.
They were promoting theatre showings of this on I think crunchyroll or funimations websites. I hadn't heard of it until then. I just bought all of the attack on titan mangas on amazon... I'm sort of excited to see how it differs and move on past the anime. I'm 30 odd episodes into slam dunk... but I really want kuroko to start again... still no info on who will simulcast it if anyone will... I'm getting worried
Same here, bunch of animes are getting picked up by crunchyroll already. Just 3 more days before I panic. They better get Kuroko and little Buster or I will flip out.
I almost forgot about little buster refrain... for some reason I was thinking that was winter instead of fall. argh... I hope they do. I added a few of the ones that they have listed... like the glasses boy one for strictly possible eye candy viewing... and there is a couple of the others that I will try, but those are two I definitely want to see
My first 7 Attack on Titan volumes arrived today and Little busters refrain was announced to simulcast on crunchyroll! Yay!
Just saw it. Yokatta. I've pretty much queued every anime crunchyroll has picked up. "Kill la kill" is one of the ones I'm pretty hyped about as well because the creators also made Gurren Lagann, another favorite of mine. Kuroko Hunter X Hunter Little Buster Kill la kill This is going to be an amazing season.
