Is there a recent season during which Marcus Camby hasn't been injured?

Is Camby too injured to coach? That's his only job.

Camby may not be worth a roster spot if he is hurt.

I am sure they got Camby for the sole purpose of making him an example of what an injured player is like sitting on the bench.

I think Camby will be labeled "injured" the entire season... for team benefit purposes?

Is that even legally possibly allowed?

Smith's injury doesn't sound too bad. The chances of Camby playing are slim.

Luckily, these aren't significant. Marcus' Plantar Fasciitis is chronic and manageable. Greg will get over the strain.

Now, why couldn't it happen to DMo or McHale instead? ;);)

Greg needs to be around to showcase him for a trade, but Camby is our most underrated signing, IMO. He will be huge come late season.

If we could package DMo and Omer together, we could get something decent in return.

I think Greg Smith is going to be a solid 15/7 guy eventually. His post game is simple, yet effective, and he's getting better.

Hopefully this injury doesn't last. We need him for depth and...well..his ability to be a foul machine.

I don't want to give up D-Mo.... ever. I want him to eventually become a starter or a powerful backup man off the bench. Is that really selfish of me? I just think the man has enormous talent, and we need to use it and let him showcase is as he evolves to the talented player he will become and has slowly already became.

Nah, man, it's just a difference of opinion.

Personally, I don't think DMo is going to end up being a great NBA player. I think he's more fit for a Euro game.

In terms of his game, although he is quite young and inexperienced, I'm far from a fan. I think his shot already has terrible form, his shot selection is horrendous and his decision making is on the same level as Stromile Swift. Yes, DMo has some handles and a few good plays where he uses his pivot foot well, but he's no Luis Scola and his midrange game is ineffective, primarily because of his release, form and shot selection.

Don't even get me started on his defense. Unless he bulks up and actually TIRES to defend the block, he will be abused his entire career. Bargani (sp?) may be tougher than our beloved DMo in the post.

Lastly (there's more, if I'm honest) is his approach to authority and constructive criticism. Now, I don't know the extent of all of the conversations of the court just like the rest of us (with the exception of insiders, Clutch, Doc ....btw F all of you that disrespected Doc Rocket), but DMo appears to be non-receptive and argumentative. I've seen it countless times during games, and in person during games in Denver and Phoenix. His ego does not match what he actually produces on the court. Is it the "V-Span syndrome?" I dunno...

I've definitely been wrong before, so hopefully I am wrong, and he contributes more with time.

And, yes, I'm pretty biased against the dude, especially after us giving up a TRUE talent in PatPat.
