I have no idea why the fricking CBS Sports line think Amare is the ROY, Yao is definitely the ROY, it's not even close for Amare to compete with Yao, Why in the world they think Amare is ROY. Yao is the Rookie of the Year http://www.sportsline.com/messages/message/6201096/1049396838-gregb
I just voted about 50 times for all my friends in China, will do more tomorrow. Hahaha... Go YAO, Go ROX.
spiral:- Why are you posting on this board. I think the members deserve a reply, since you are not a Rocket Fan!
what makes you think i'm not a rocket fan? i want the rockets to succeed. the difference between you and me is i don't give a $hit if yao wins rookie of the year. and i was just being sarcastic about voting for caron butler. but seriously, yao should not be considered roy simply because he's probably the most r****ded rookie in the league. the guy does not utilize his height advantage at all. i'm not saying yao's a bust or anything like that, so don't get pissed at me for posting my perspective on yao's development throughout the season. yao has improved, he improved his rebounding throughout the season and he became less foul prone. early on, his rebound totals were pathetic, but he's improved on that. but he's still not used to dunking the ball and he lays the ball in too much. if he continues to do that, people are going to try to block him. he needs to dunk the ball with some extra emphasis and exaggerate the force with which he throws it down on the rim so that nobody dares even to contest his dunk. also when going up for a dunk like he did against amare last time, i think yao needs to palm the ball and put the ball way behind his head and dunk the ball that way, so that players don't know where the ball is exactly is when he goes up for the dunk. a lot of times, i've seen yao just rely too much on his height, that he doesn't fully utilize his ability.
even if he doesn't utilize his ability, so what? even if all the negatives you said about him are true, so what? I think most people agree that he's still better than Caron Butler right now! it's not even close! and if you don't care if Yao wins ROY, then i think you're not a true rocket fan. because Yao is a ROCKET and will be for years to come!
reasons why i don't want yao to win rookie of the year 1. i want him to lose this roy so that he comes back with more desire to improve. 2. i want him to be embarrassed and not be so f**king happy laying the ball in. i want to see the yao that dunked on theo ratliff and yelled in his face. 3. i want him to dunk on smaller people, not lay it in. 4. you want the guy to feel like he has something to prove. you don't want a rookie to have too much early success.
hell yeah. i want amare to feel like he's established himself by winning rookie of the year and i hope he gets arrogant and gets a big fat ego and stops working out and gets overweight and turns into another shawn kemp. and i want yao to lose and get dunked on viciously by a earl boykins or something and then turns into a vicious blood thirsty dunking machine like shaq. hopefully he starts getting angry, cause he's too laid back right now.
You people are pathetic. There are about three vote for Yao threads in here. Are you all scared to see what people really think about the ROY? Every one of these threads starts out with Amare leading, which should tell you somthing, then you all go and vote 500 times a piece and put Yao ahead. Is this not bad sportsmanship when you rig every poll on the net about Yao? Are you that scared he will lose if you do not cheat?
Oh, you are sure we all went and voted 500 times a piece, and you are sure those Amare leading start is not from ONE or FEW guy as well, you are sure those Amare fans are not voting like 500 times a piece? Are u using different standard to make your judgement? OR simply just because you are one of those.....
