Soul Pancake is the website founded by Rainn Wilson. He's a Baha'i. I'm a Baha'i. I like the positivity.
funny thing about that - I had a really crappy start to my week, so this morning (before I saw this) I decided to take everything that was bad with my week and turn it in to a positive. Monday - Had to have a new AC put in my house at $5,500 Tuesday - Car died. Auto Repair costs $770 Wednesday - Recieved a medical bill for $1,900 Last night/this morning I decided to look at the positive results from each of these: 1. New AC - won't have to worry about the air going out next summer/repairs for several years. New unit is more efficient so lower electric bill. House will feel cooler than it has in years once we get the air balanced right. 2. Many of the repairs were things I needed to have done anyway, and now I won't have to worry about them anymore. It ended up being $680, or $90 less than estimated. The average car payment is around $5,000 a year...so I'm still way ahead by over $4,000. 3. The original bill was for $15,000 - Insurance brought it down to $3,000. Gap insurance brought it down to $1,900 - so it could've been much much worse. I felt a lot better about everything after I decided to look at them in this manner. Perspective is everything in life.
