When Kubiak was asked about Newton and Harris, he chuckled before responding with "they battled"...clearly, he wanted to say that they suck.
I wish someone would ask Kubiak during a presser, "Coach, talk about how so and so battled out there this afternoon." I hope they have a bounceback game this week. Before the season started, I would have been happy with a 3-2 start, but now it seems that anything less than 4-1 would make the natives very restless. This season should be all about qualifying for the playoffs, bringing along some young guys, and doing damage in January. Everything else is pretty much window dressing.
3-2 start is actually quite very good considering whom we have played so far. Titans and Chargers have been battling with every team they played down to the wire, so have the titans. Ravens are 2-1 and "experts" say that they are still contenders. Seahawks are Seahawks. 9ers are lesser 9ers from last year but still dangerous. If we beat SeaHawks or 9ers, that'll be pretty solid. If we beat both, That'll be great. Personally, I'd want to be able to beat Seahawks more than 9ers tho.
