Carl Cameron just reported that the attack on the restaurant in the Mansoor (SP?) neighborhood may have been the result of false communications issued by Iraqi counter-intelligence who were testing the security of their communicatioins.

Maybe maybe not. Way to protect your citizenry oh esteemed Iraqi Regime....

Not that it really matters, but Cameron works for Fox News!

    Hmm..

So the reports (mostly from British media, I believe) that the informants:

    1) Saw saddam enter the restaurant
    2) Overheard discussions about leaving Iraq
    3) Had 'bugs' in the restaurant that picked-up saddam

    ...may all be bogus?

I am more inclined to think they were operating off human intel rather than stolen communications but who knows? Maybe it's CYA.
