Forgive me for the thread title, it amused me to use it.

He just did a long interview on Fox News with Greg Palkot and Dennis Kucinich.

    Quite the interview.

    Any thoughts?

I saw the 60 minutes one with, Charlie Rose? He was quite logical, but anyone can save face in an interview.

Do you have link to the one you are talking about?

It's right at the main page, several links. The interview was something close to an hour. Kucinich in the role over interviewer was interesting.

Assad is an interesting cat. The best part was him saying that "anyone could be President of Syria" and that he has no problem being voted out of power if that's the will of the people.

The man is well educated. The eye doctor is going to say whatever he has to say to keep himself in power. I didn't watch the interview but I have seen interviews with him before, and he generally doesn't come across as a murderous dictator (he is, of course...). But he's not stupid.

He is going to say what he has to to come out on top of this situation. He and Putin are two or three steps ahead of our people at this point, I think.

Watching the video (first segment) the most shocking thing I hears was Kucinich saying "our FOX News cameras"... Does he work for FOX now?

My God, what an interesting world we live in ;)

It's really his brother who is the murderer. Just like it was his uncle who was the murderer. That doesn't excuse what his regime is accused of, but I think Bashar's regime is set up so that he has plausible deniability, he handles the state affairs, Maher handles security and ensuring the family keeps power, just like Rifaat for Hafez.

I heard he does. I don't think he is on that regularly.

Exactly. They see an opportunity to gain favor, and they're smart enough to capitalize on it.

    Dog & pony show.

He does and he's on a lot. I'm a big fan of Kucinich. I try to watch when he appears. He will appear on Hannity and O'Reily.
