good point..I didnt inquire into whether or not I could get it without cable since my satellite system was screwed up anyway. So I got my cable service turned back on at the same time as I got RR installed. That said.... on the whole, I have zero complaints about my Earthlink broadband..I can download a 20M file in about 5 minutes. not too shabby..
Well I checked in my area (I going to be living off of 620 and 2222) and they only have DSL way out there . I also had to get Direct TV. Apparently TWC does not have service out there either. Basically I got a year of DSL for $29.99/month and 200+ Channels of Direct TV w/ HBO and FOX sports pkg. for about $69.99 Not bad considering I was paying $108 for BASIC Time Warner cable and Road Runner when I left Austin 4 months ago. I just pray that the damn thing works..... I got a pretty sweet deal on the Apartment so I'll actually be saving $$$ in the long run.....
earthlink is the ABSOLUTE WORST dsl service to ever go into business. And I don't know how most people are, but I don't see why customer support has to be a factor in someone's decision in choosing a dsl service. I've had sbc DSL for years and I've never had to call them once other than to get them to send me the equipment. No downtimes that I've noticed so far...I've had it for 2+ years.
Is this what its come to Drewdog?? Faster internet service?? Faster posting and p*rn? Slowly step away from the computer.......women are out there waiting for us to pick them up!! Went to Europa on Friday and saw some hotties!
The advantage of high-speed internet.....faster p*rn downloading.. Now he will have more time to go out and scope out the hotties..
