What is the name of the poster here who does resumes? I suddenly find myself needing to put together a resume to market myself for the first time in a decade.

I'm not sure. I think it might have been Grogrux something.

Personally, I think he's a bit overrated. I hear he tends to talk about the Houston Rockets too much during phone consultations.

If someone needs to use fiverr to market themselves, doesn't seem they are that good at what they do.

    I'm not helping him with ****! ;)

But seriousely, dandorotik is your guy. And if interested in my input: I'd just advise you to be clear and concise. Make sure that your resume is "skimmable" with buzz/keywords easily noticable. And taylor your resume to each specific position that you apply for.

Good luck! Companies are definetly hiring qualified professionals - Especially in the Houston area.

Absolutely- the whole point is to tell "them" what they want to hear- but you have 3 general audiences for resumes- recruiters, hiring authorities/managers, and HR professionals. You have to do 2 things- emphasize qualifications relevant to the positions you seek, and make sure to address/negate any red flags. And please, none of this "I'm a self-starting team player with excellent oral and written communication skills who can facilitate decision-making to achieve top-priority objectives."
