Rose has a lot to prove before he goes top 10. Not good enough to warrant the risk. Chicago's success has more to do with their head coach.

I don't see Anthony in the top 10 either. Not a guy you build an entire franchise around. He's never won anything.

Rose had a major injury been out a while now, nobody knows if hes going to be the same player or anything near it. Drafting him in the top 10 would be risky, top 5 would be dumb IMO.

    Lebron
    Durant
    Cp3
    Harden
    Irving
    Howard
    Carmelo
    Westbrook
    Rose

I think some people may be putting too much stock in youth and potential. If we redraft every player and I'm picking in the top-5, I'm gunning for immediate championships. Who knows what'll happen after a couple of years -- superstars will lose their edge, guys will get injured, new players will come up, lots can happen. So at the top of the draft order you shoot to win immediately and leave the gambles to others.

But drafts depend a lot on who is drafting and their appetite for risk. I think at the top of the draft order, there's 3 strategies to take: (1) Win now (2) Balance winning now with preparing for the future, and (3) Forget winning now and look to the future. And generally, #1 should be at the top. #2 second, and #3 third, but you might be picking from different pools depending on who has already been drafted. So, I won't hazard a list other than to say Lebron James obviously goes first because he gives you the best chance right away, and (after Durant) you probably hit the seasoned vets list for awhile (for guys like Howard and Paul) before you worry about youth. Even old guys like Kobe and Nowitzki would have high value because they give you an opportunity to win now if you get to rebuild the rosters around them.

They really aren't that close in talent level though. Durant is a better scorer. LeBron is much better than him in every other facet of basketball. He's is also more versatile.

    LeBron

    Durant

They're equal rebounders and KD is quickly catching up on passing. The offense also runs through KD much less than it does LeBron, yet he still puts up the same kind of big scoring numbers, if not better.

Main edge Bron has right now is D, but when he was 24, I'm not sure he was so much better on defense than KD is right now.

Long time lurker finally with an account.
    Hmm, age matters
    1 Lebron
    2 Durant
    3 Harden
    4 Dwight
    5 Paul
    6 Rose
    7 Drummond
    8 Westbrook
    9 Love
    10 Irving

You may think Drummond is way to high, but if I anything I feel like I may have put him too low.
