Villa Arcos is out of this world. I've only had their breakfast tacos, but if the other food is anything like that, it's reasonably-priced, and amazingly good.

Not Tex-Mex, but Taco A Go-Go on Main in Midtown next to Continental Club is delicious.

I don't know what some of y'all are (or are not?) smoking but El Timepiece is great. Great black beans and rice, salsa verde, beef fajita.

    Papasitos on Wednesdays.

    Spanish Flower at 3 am.

West Alabama Ice House taco truck for always. El Pastor taco on corn tortilla with a ****in half avocado on that sucker for $1.50.

I do not believe this to be true.

I somehow forgot Ninfa's Navigation. Winner for Tex-Mex.

Also forgot Pico's on Bellaire for Tex-Mex and authentic Mexican. Best damn margarita around. Also try the mole enchiladas.

I went to this place on Ella near 34th recently, it was absolutely fantastic. Can't remember the name...

Is picos good? I know they are opening one at the old ninfas location. I've only had picos as a catering service at parties and I thought it was pretty terrible. Is the restaurant food better?

I've never had a bad meal at Pico's. Then again, I've never had their catering.

    Which old Ninfa's location?

No kidding? It's definitely not cheap, but I love this place.

Down the street is Taqueria La Tapatia, which is cheap, and Chapultapec, which is open super late.

Swoly-D is right about something. Also, Tony's on Ella and 23rd is really good and fairly cheap.

If that's what you ordered at El Tiempo...you did it wrong.

Fajitas is the way to go and El Tiempo is one of the best in the city.

El Gallo on Gessner is the correct answer.

El Jarro isn't just good/cheap, it's the absolute best taco in Houston.

Meh, never liked El Gallo but people in that area of town swear by it. I think it's because they're trapped in a bubble where they never leave a 15 miles radius.
