Looking at those seats my first thought was that damn...there is some decent leg room there! Gotta appreciate that! Also it does look like the seat rows are much higher than the seat rows in front of them to give the view and much better view.

Better view and more leg room. nice! It will be cool once this thing finally debuts!

That's actually been one of the new arena's selling points: wider seats and more leg room. The seats are supposed to be the "widest in the NBA."

Well, in pretty much any arena, the seats up high are at a steeper angle than the seats on the lower level.

Also, the cupholders look like they'll be on the arm rests, which is a little disappointing. One nice feature of Reliant Stadium is the cupholders on the back of the seats...

Well, Houston IS the fattest city in the nation, so I guess that makes sense. :D

That's from the Simpsons. Grandpa Simpson said this in retelling some old tale from his youth. Great episode! Love that quote! :D

We can't bust heads like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to tell them stories that don't go anywhere. Like that time I took the ferry over to Shelbyville; I needed a new heel for my shoe. So, I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickle, and in those days, nickles had pictures of bumblebees on them. "Give me five bees for a quarter," you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn't have any white onions, because of the war; the only thing you can get was those big yellow ones....

Man, **** this. There is only one Rocket uniform, and it's hanging in the rafters of the Summit. All these jerks care about is money, they don't give a **** about tradition. I guess now Les & Co. can line their pockets with money from the 'throwback' sales, both here and in China. Then they can line their pockets again with MORE money next year with this new 'uniform' courtesy of Yoko the uniform designer -- you know, it'll look good on a cap so that means more sales. Then in a few years they can go for the 'double-throwback' cash-in when they reissue our current uniforms as throwbacks. That's two throwbacks as well as new stuff. There's more money for Les & Co. Meanwhile the people that just want to watch the Rockets play have to sit there and look at a bunch of kids running around in some red and silver crap, wondering what team it is. But hey, it looks good on a cap I guess. **** Les, **** Yoko, and **** silver. Maybe in a couple of years every uniform in the NBA will look like Phoenix and New Jersey.

I can't say I don't agree with you. Personally, I wish we had NEVER changed the colors, and I wish they were going back to red and gold for next season. I'm happy at least that red is apparently going to be the dominant color again. Honestly, I wouldn't mind the old logo, either, though i could accept an update to that. Also, they could update the jerseys to read HOUSTON or Houston, rather than HOUSton.

My main gripe was always with the colors. Those were and still are OUR colors, and IMO we never should have changed them.

Good GOD, you've lost it. Calm down... if a new uniform and accesories sell, that means people like them, doesn't it? That's a good thing last I heard. Style is more important than tradition in my opinion because yes, a UNIFORM is all about appearance and marketability. You sound like a b!tchy old man.

Speaking of b!tchy old men, why is it so many people here quote the Simpsons so often? :p

errrrr.............you mean Eiko, not Yoko. Anywayz, I agree with your arguement. But like it was mentioned in earlier posts, the world does revolve around the almighty dollar, not the peso or the pound or the yen etc............you get the drift. However I can see it from the Rockets management point of view too. The Rox are trying to be unique in this league and our past colors (red and gold) unfortunatley arent gonna do that. Far too many teams use those colors now like Miami, Atlanta and even Cleveland, beginning next season. That's why I believe that red and silver will be our color combo next season. No other team in the league has those colors. And with red being the dominant color, it will allow us die-hard fans to remember the good-ole' days while silver will give the Rox a unique and fresh look other fans want. Atleast they read our complaints and concerns in the Rox uniform section of Rox.com and are trying to address them as it appears they are doing. You have to admit, in this day in age where money dictates a sports franchise and fans are often kicked to the curb, its pretty impressive that the Rox are actually listening to us when it comes to this subject. Its even more impressive that they put up a suggestion box for the fans regarding the new uniforms design on their website. Not many franchises in the world of sports, not just the NBA, go that far to actually please their fans. I'm sure the fans in Seattle would have loved to provide input before the Sonics switched there uni's to what they are currently sporting, which isnt exactly something I would want to be seen in. Most fans up there believe that was a horrible mistake and the uni's they had before actually looked better. So do I. So be happy that the Rockets are actually trying to listen to us. It could have been worse. They could have decided to ignore us and play fashion designer again and come up with something ugly like the clown suits and grinning rocket they previously came up with.

Um, the Seattle uniforms are great, as are Detroit's. That's what the Rockets should do. It's called correcting a mistake.

Red and Gold don't mix. It looks tacky!

Red and White was ok. But, too plain.
But, when you mixed the gold accents, it ruined the whole look.

Can you say McDonalds or Oscar-Mayer?

I'm glad they are using Red and Silver.

I know it has been an old topic, but

The number one thing to look forward to this offseason is..... What will the new uniforms look like. Was nice to see the old red and yellow back in action. Lets hope they get out of those PJ's for good and don't just change them a little.
