...and that Europe can't compete with. Impossible to find this sort of communion anywhere else. I miss American patriotism. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/Cs-lrLfPqWU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Not a WVU fan btw.
happens all the time in futbol matches outside of the MLS . not patriotic but I like when crowds sing in unison <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/9OMIfeBc_gk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Absolutely. But the college system is so different in Europe. People go to their classes then go home, they don't care about anything else. Sure the parties are equally great, but the sense of belonging to something greater than yourself doesn't exist in Europe. You don't feel like you're apart of an entity.
Don't really agree with OP, but I'm willing to contribute just to annoy some foreigners.... Boston Bruins National Anthem two days after the Boston Marathon. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/lbHMRpdk3_4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
i would even say that europeans are far better at this stuff.. them folks chant, sing, and jump all game.. i dont even think its close..
Which makes it more likely kids will choose based on location than perceived quality, reputation, lifestyle or generational fandom; and keeps it from costing $20k - 30k/year.
What is this? European soccer destroys in terms of communion. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/qkew3kKnhGM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
i don't know about patriotism but when i watch european and south american fans at a concert, they're a lot more involved than americans.
Even European soccer can't compete with America. WE DO IT TIGER STYLE. Spoiler <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/17mJgQkZX9U" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> NSFW Language
OP, you made South America, most of Europe, and parts of Asia LOL!!! Also the Irish disagree with you. btw, losing 4-0 to the reigning Euro and World champs at the time. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/n7GonYtZrZw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
well, you have around 90,000 people singing "Cielito Lindo" in the Azteca Stadium, so yeah it happens everywhere. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/S0fkr7uMt-I" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I'm sorry but this is an awful thread. Europe destroys us in any sort of fan support at a game. South America and Asia do as well. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/WcvAOpnnMK0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/8sf711rNtc4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/RuLyk78YuhQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/oKY0yFnAOzc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> /thread
Few people have ever made the correlation between the American collegiate athletics and European football. The systems are quite similar when you consider the conference systems between them and the general connections people have between a school (that is typically the big draw in any given state/region) and a football club (where it is usually the only major organized sporting draw in its respective country).
