Game's not over-- it's halftime. I suggest you watch if you aren-t, it's the national TV game on TNT. But this is to Turn in the chat and some others who said I was crazy for taking Duncan over CWebb.

    Halftime stats:

    Duncan-- 8-13 shooting, 21 points, 12 reb

    Webber-- 3-9 shooting, 7 points, 2 reb

It's a great game so far-- very worthy of watching.

I took Duncan over Webber as well (ask Fadeaway [IMG]). The Best player won this matchup.

Webber has had a better year so far but Duncan has been a better player through out his career.

Duncan is one of only 7 players to lead his team to the nba championship over the last 20 years: Magic, Bird, Isiah, MJ, Dream, Duncan and Shaq. CWebb is still trying to reach that penical. Untill Duncan messed his knee up there were arguments about who was more dominant, him or Shaq. I would take Duncan.

He is getting more and more confident with his knee. I would take him over any player in the NBA.

Duncan could play center or power forward, that is what is good about him. What happened to his free throw shooting? He is just like Shaq now. The coach has to pull him out in close games.

Duncan has never been pulled in a close game-- I watch the Spurs a lot (they are my 2nd favorite team after the Rockets). There goes ZRB exaggerating the truth again. [IMG]

Duncan has underperformed at the line for half of a season. That doesn't mean he always will! He shot 55% (about 20 above Shaq) for a half a season. He's always shot 70-80% in the past. The shot just doesn't go away. Due to his knee injury (remember it was hard for him to deal with the injury since he really hasn't been injured before) his mechanics may have been thrown off a little. But he is gaining them back now, and like Bob said-- If I had a choice of any player in the NBA to play for my team, I'd choose Tim Duncan.

I was just repeating what I heard during a Spur game. I am not sure if it was the Spur announcers or not. Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE to have Duncan on the team. Imagine a Francis-Duncan combination. Add Duncan to this team, and they would take home the title this year, and many more years to come. I have no doubt that Duncan on the Rockets would be a better team than Duncan on the Spurs.

Yeah Duncan's shooting has been strange this year. His form resembles that of an excellent shooting guard, but his shots just seem to rim out. Shaq, of course, has a different form every day. Reminds me of myself.

The best thing about this matchup is that both of these players are arguably the best in the league. They both have complete games.

Duncan has far more skill than Shaq. The only reason he won't be as unstoppable is that he uses skill while shaq uses power.

Duncan with no desire? Please. He's one of the hardest workers in the NBA. Always has been since college. Don't get his lack of emotion on the floor confused with a lack of desire and heart.

I obviously agree that duncan must have a passion for the game. How else could he have developed such a complete game in such a relatively short time?
