yeah but can it withstand an attack from godzilla? the way things are going in Japan it's a good question to consider. (looks great!)
I got to the Bay Area yesterday and am in the East Bay but had to drive across the San Mateo bridge from SFO because the Bay Bridge was closed. Looking forward to driving across it and might do it tomorrow since some of my meetings were pushed to Thursday. At least I will drive over it when I return my car on Friday.
Also this span took 15 years longer to build and cost 5 times than originally planned. About everything that could go wrong with the project did. Also some engineers at UC Berkeley are concerned that some of the bolts used were found to be defective and that there is no guarantee that the bolts now are completely up to standard to resist strong earthquake forces. That isn't going to stop me from driving it but in case of another big earthquake y'all should start evacuating Katy.
