If people think A.I. had a terrible supporting cast in Philly then I don't know what people think T-mac had in Orlando.

As for Houston with his talent he should have carried one of those teams out of the 1st rd but then again the only series you can really point to his team being better is the 1st series against Utah which was a terrible matchup.

You're comparing the Thunder with Westbrook and Ibaka (and previously Harden) to T-Mac's supporting cast?

    Or the Melo led Knicks.

    You think T-Mac isn't on MELO'S Level?

    Wow.

    Wow.

I dunno what else to say.

    Wow.

Okay I'll admit Durant was a poor example. But look at the supporting cast he had in NY last season. Look at how that team performed. You can say the same thing about what he did at his one year in Syracuse, what he has done for Team USA in the past or early in his career in Denver. He does not have TMac's level of talent (though very talented in his own right) but he is MUCH more of a winner and that much is not even debatable.

What is also not debatable is that teams win games (or more importantly - series), rather than individuals. Unless we're talking about tennis.

Sure but one individual can have a great impact. Probably moreso in basketball than any other team sport.

Would that Knicks team from last year be anywhere near as successful without Melo?

AI took that squad to the NBA Finals. Tmac had plenty of squads, he played for 16 years and took none of them anywhere when he was getting paid Kobe money while getting Sharif Abdul Rahim results.

I get what you are saying but I don't think Melo is a good example either because his playoff win percentage is worse than Tracy's and that is not including Tracy's run with the Spurs this year. In fact before this year's playoff run. Carmelo had the worst winning percentage in the playoffs in 20 years or something like that (This was talked about a while ago by all the media (this meaning Melo's horrendous playoff statistics and he is/was being crucified for his playoff blunders)

Rick Adelman knew little to nothing what the management wanted.
Otherwise he would not been cast away like cheap dirt in the end.

Rockets learn of surgery through media
    Updated: February 18, 2009, 7:50 PM ET
    ESPN.com news services

HOUSTON -- Rockets coach Rick Adelman lashed out at Tracy McGrady after practice on Wednesday for not informing the team he will undergo surgery on his left knee. Adelman said he only learned that McGrady was out for the season when he read it in a newspaper in the morning.

"There should be a protocol, there should be a procedure where we have a chance to sit down and talk about the situation and not be announced in the press," Adelman said. "I don't know why that happened, why he did that. Certainly, that is not the way things should be handled."

I was not talking about the McGrady situation but thanks again for bringing him in.
Management never did back up either of those two for long.
They played a game of discarding either one when they were too unmotivated to coach or too injured and mentally drained to play.
It was fitting that both having beef with one another.
Behind curtains they were plotting while on the surface it was a typical
    ex superstar vs coach dilemma.

FYI Les was the guy who was fond of two Beta Male stars while Morey and others were scanning the market for more durable players anyway
Adelman has little to say in that. That frustrated him more than the whole playing more than 8 minute situation.

My memories sucking does not change that you are an idiot.

ESPN reporting does not tell every angle of what happened. You get maybe 50 to 60 percent of the Truth that happens behind curtains.
I guess that's enough for you.
