I think it will eventually happen, but probably a few years down the road. If we win a championship, that will increase the chances.

Not sure I understand. Why would the chance increase for McGrady's jersey to be retired if the Rockets win a championship without him?

this might sound mean, but i think the Rockets should just wait to see if the HOF wants any part of him and then i might consider retiring his number 1. But I personally believe that US americans who don't have maps and are unable to do so shouldnt retire T-Mac's number.

Nope, safe to say his jersey won't be retired.

I wouldn't have a problem with it, but no way in hell they do. They didn't give a **** about him when he was here, why would they after he left?

    I don't think they should retire Tracy's.

Of course, I also didn't necessarily agree with retiring Yao's jersey.

    Absolutely Not!

Yao Ming doesn't pout at mid court during the middle of a game or gives sarcastic responses to reporters about who's fault it is the team can't win a playoff series.

No... he quit on the team. There are other ways to handle yourself when your body can't take the grind anymore. He could have called a timeout during the Toronto game and say "Hey coach, I can't take the pain anymore." Instead, he hung himself on the rim on a breakaway he tried to get fancy on and then completely gave up on the other side. He could have opted to not take himself in and out of games. He could have kept his mouth shut instead of constantly b****ing. There are lots of things he could have done, but he chose to simply give up during a game.
