Style of play should depend on who the opponent is. If the Rockets are playing a team such as the Seattle Sonics of course give Yao Isolation. If u are playing Shaq, Yao cann't go one on one. No player can. Ball movement and off the ball movement is what this team needs. Now who's fault is it that we might have the worst offense in the league?
I want to stress, I'm a big Yao fan and want him in Houston forever, but I just thought this was an interesting proposition.
AMEN, too many Yao-only, Rocket-bashing nuts here ... most of us here are Rockets Fans first, then Yao-fan later.
Everyone knows the Rockets would most likely be Lottery bound without Yao Ming. Yao is not the problem. We need to surround Yao with players who know how to shoot the ball. As long as Francis and Mobley are our starting guards this team will never win a championship. This duo is not a championship contending type of back court. We need a makeover.
altough i'm a chinese and a yao fan, i'm extremly agree with you! any yao-only fan should remember that yao is one member of rouckets , not any other team! he love rockets, he will be shamefaced if he know his fans bash rockets!
I support option 3: HELL NO!!! What a stupid thread. Whoever posted this thread should be shot with a rubber band to the left eye. Anyways, I am a fan of Steve, but I don't go around bashing Yao (unless he does something stupid.) and Yao fans don't really bother me. This is a Rockets BBS and Yao belongs to the Rockets so anything about him (basketball related) is about the Rockets. Same goes for F R A N C H I S E!!!!!!! Those of you who just said that they don't care about the Rockets, they come here because of Yao Ming should go shoot themselves with rubber bands to their right eyes. Think about it, a**holes, if the Rockets are not doing well, your Yao is not gonna shine either. I'm starting to like Yao's games, but some of his fans' attitutes like "lee's" a few posts back make me despite Yao. So screw him!!! Next time I'm at a Rockets' game, I'll be able to distinguish the difference between $#$@$# and the original poster just by looking at their eyes.
