Unlike you Magic fans we know what championships taste like and welcome any chance to get back in the playoffs.
Since you seem to be asking this question sincerely, I'll give you a sincere answer: No reasonable Rockets fan, especially fans on this BBS, expect the Rockets to get out of the first round. What we're playing for is playoff experience, plain and simple, which is something this team desparately needs. That said, of course we want them to go all the way! Besides, if we don't make the playoffs, we wouldn't have a lottery pick, as our first round pick this year goes to Memphis to complete the Steve Francis trade. And yes, Yao needs time to develop further, and the team needs time to develop further as a team.
we need to make the playoffs because it's a confidence booster.. we need our guys to shake off their losing ways.. if we make the playoffs this year we'll probably get swept, or at best win one game.. but I think if we go to the playoffs this year we'll have a better chance of getting into the 2nd/3rd rounds next year..
If we are lucky we will play the Spurs........I think we match up better against them. Who would you rather play?
it will be interesting to c how we will do against dallas during the playoff. the play sytle will be changed in the playoff, much more physical game, which dalles is not good at, they don't have a inside present except Dirk and LaFrentz. and the defence won't allow mavericks to do their running game, that could cut out alot points from them. one thing i can tell u is that mavericks IS NOT A GOOD HALF-COURT TEAM. so keep ur faith, nothing is for sure yet.
I guess Magic didn't. T-mac didn't look like his regular self, 3-14 FG. Rockets got to win tommorow to keep playoff hope alive.

hahah tmac was rusty, 3 days off, and he didnt even warm up, wasnt supposed to play, couldnt bear watching , and played... not a good decision but he sat the whole 4th... so look out! i will be here tommorow in full Force supporting my boys, ouch i'd hate to see our guys knock you out of the playoffs... boy i would really be hated around here! lol
Playoff experience is very important for a championship team. Remember how many times Shaq's Lakers were swept? The result of this year playoff is not important, as long as the Rox can go to the playoffs.
I just wanna see them in the playoffs, i dont care who we play against. Though, if we do...I would rather have Sac, over Dallas/Spurs. We have been doing better against the kings. Dallas will kill us, but hey, Who cares. If we made it to the playoffs, there we go.

Dumb question. You don't just quit because you think you have no chance to win. Besides, not getting to the playoffs is certainly a failure. When you're rebuilding, you're rebuilding for the championship. The playoffs should be the bottomline for every team!!!
