It's tough to say, KD is smarter that's what leads to his greater efficiency.

But if there was a evaluation where you can rate the prowess of an offensive player by looking at his abilities in every facet of offense, it's possible Melo would rate higher than Durant.

The logic is just fine. I think your logic is flawed. What does it mean to you to be a scorer? Because to me, it's to be able to put the ball in the basket and produce points. KD does this just fine.

The question is not who can produce the most points in the most ways.

Now, if KD were to add that to his game, I could imagine it would increase his ability to score points.

Hey SLAM you suck at writing. Felton never actually said Melo was a better scorer. He said it was neck-and-neck and that Melo can score more ways.

Felton should of said something like I will be in the league longer than Lin, if he wanted attention.

Um in case you haven't noticed better scoring is tied to efficiency. The fact of the matter is KD can post up, take contested mid-range Js and bad shots like Melo, he just doesn't take them because those shots don't go in at a high clip, which would make him put up Melo-like efficiency numbers.

I mean, what's the point in being able to score in a variety of ways if you can't score efficiently? That's supposed to be the whole point of being versatile isn't it, you're supposed to learn to post up, shoot 3s and jumpshots so you can take the shot which has the highest % chance of going in. If after all that "verstality" you still need 30 shots to score 20 pts then why the hell are you even considered a good scorer in the first place?

Kevin Durant is the better player which is all that matters.

Durant is a better scorer than Lebron, too bad the game isn't just about scoring...

Efficiency is part of being a great scorer. MJ knew the 3pt shot wasn't his specialty, hence he didnt take a lot of them. Does that make Melo a better scorer than MJ?

It boggles my mind when people keep saying Melo is the best scorer in the game. He's not. Durant and Lebron are by far the best scorers in the game.
