[Verizon Customers] $5/mo Redzone

Kind of a technical workaround that I saw on Reddit, involves getting an HDMI out plug for your phone to your TV. Awesome deal if you have Verizon and are a cord cutter.

A couple years ago I ditched cable because of the price and terrible customer service (Comcast). The only thing I really missed are sports (most notable the NFL). Now that the NFL season is almost here I thought I'd share a little hack that I use.....
First, I think this is only for Verizon customers. You need to download the official NFL app. You can then pay ~$5/month to stream the NFL Redzone channel, Thursday, Sunday, and Monday night games!
Second, you need to buy a cable that will connect your phone to the tv and allow you to bring the stream onto your tv (It's not fun watching NFL games for 6 hours on a small screen). All phones are different but many times you can find third party cables on Amazon that will work. I bought a cable for my Droid Incredible about three years ago for $15.
This works best if you have internet in your house so you don't go way over your data plan.
There you have it! All the NFL you could want for $5/month.
BTW, if you haven't tried NFL Redzone then I HIGHLY recommend it!
