I also seriously doubt your claim as a longtime Rockets fan. I'm sorry, but there are obviously a lot of people who are fans now because of Yao and you seem like the leader of the pack. I don't have a problem with that, there are far more important issues in the world to worry about, but I seriously doubt you were a Rockets fan before Yao.

solid, whats your problem? the rockets are fighting for a playoff spot. memphis is playing pretty solid basketball, but they aren't going to the playoffs. If you hate so many aspects of the Rockets then you should find another team. sure the rockets are inconsistant, but even in the days of Dream they were inconsistant. they have shown flashes of the future. tight, flowing offense and strong defense. these guys are like a painting in progress. Francis wants to win. That overtime win against Los angeles proved he believes in himself and can take clutch shots. do you want to get ricky davis? i mean, i think the rockets fans are pretty lucky. we can beat the best teams out there. and we are fighting for playoff position. i love the drama. the rockets are one of the few 8th seeds to go to the finals (we got in by one game in 81). remember that. i mean...realistically we have no chance, but we have a history of great accomplishments. no more blabbing.

Why did I respond to a post by SATAN!? I won't do that again! Please change your name, and if it is your name, go to HELL! (get it?) Because that is where you live! (Really, why would you want to be SATAN? Creepy!)

RockerGarden, Thanks for bashing me, I was starting to get worried. I was trying to "stir the pot" but nobody responded. Now to the subject, this Rockets team (and I use the word loosely) is one of the most frustrating I have ever watched. If you read this board, you know I am not alone. Some of the "bad" Rockets teams played more fundamentally sound basketball than this one. What do you do when you are a "dyed in wool" Rockets fan, BUT, you don't like the current team. It is tough to take. I love the Mavs game, but they are not the Rockets.

If this were a young team on the way up, I could be patient. Our guards are not young by NBA standards, Rice is done, Taylor is still struggling with an injury, and most of the rest are CBA types. Ming and Griffin ARE really young with tons of potential (I am starting to wonder about Griffin). BUT

The real issue is I hate isolations, no ball movement, no player movement, no defense, no scheme, no patterns, no structure, no discipline, no system, no brains. Stupidball is uninteresting, unentertaining, and unexciting. Remember the posts after last season? Remember the Chronicle articles at the end of last season? Well, we are right back where we started. Is this what you want?! What is the new slogan for next year; BE PART OF SOMETHING SMALL!? Opinions aside the fans will vote by their support and attendance. Is this the brand of basketball that Houston wants to see? We will see! I vote NO!

Without a doubt I will continue support the team through the good and the bad.

There is such a thing as TEAM LOYALTY.

I am not some "fair weather" fan. As a longtime fan, and the moments I have enjoyed watching them why wouldn't I?

win, lose, or tie...Rocket fan till I die!!!

Not guilty. I was, however, wearing my loud orange retro Astros jersey. 2nd level behind the backboard, a kid in a Francis jersey and a couple of peeved Bulls fans...

I'll still be a Rockets fan, a disappointed fan, but still a fan. I thought even without Yao we should have made the playoffs. Last year the Rockets blamed Steve and Glenn's injuries for the record. This year both have been healthy most of the season and Mo Taylor has given us alot more than we ever got. So there really is no excuse for not making the playoffs. But regardless if we make it or not, I will still love the Rockets.

The fact that we're on this website is proof that we can absorb a lot of misery and keep coming back for more.

    True fans. That's us.

All devoted fans will always back the team no matter what the record is.I hope like every fan that we will still make it to the playoffs but things aren't looking good at all and with Mobley being hurt and Rudy not leading it's going to be very difficult with our tough schedule.Unfortunately all the players are struggling. They must regroup quickly and get their defense organized, improve ball movement and execute.
The guys have nothing to lose and all to gain if they pull themselves together.

I love the Rox and have since Rudy began coaching. I didn't give up on them despite 2 (or 3?) heartbreakers to the Sonics and a couple to the Jazz, so missing the playoffs isn't a problem.

Yetti is actually a Jazz fan, I saw Stockton, Malone, and Sloan running a train on him the last time we played. I think he might be endearing himself to Yao in hopes of him signing in Utah ASAP.

Yetti on a Celtics board:"I loved Cousy, Russell, Hondo, Bird, and McHale so I have been a Celts fan for 50 years"

Yetti on Lakers board:"Wilt, West, Baylor, Magic, Kareem, and Worthy were good, I've been a Laker fan forever!"

    Yetti is a chode:)
