Despite this disappointing roadtrip the Rockets still have a good chance of making the playoffs this year. The Rockets most formidable opponents in their upcoming schedule are Utah and Portland. If they wake-up and start winning, the odds are still in their favor. The likelyhood of Phoenix winning the games against the Wolvesin which they are (0-3), Spurs (2-1), Lakers (1-3), Mavs (1-2), and Portland (3-0), are minute. Especially, with Portland and Wolves / Spurs and Kings jockeying for playoff position (in their race to avoid the Lakers). Though it may be hard to believe (because we're Houston fans) the Suns have been just as inconsistant, if not more than we have, and they are supposed to have the better team. I'm suggesting that we don't thrown in the towel just yet. KEEP THE FAITH.
Seems to me that if a post isn't bashing the Rockets, the post gets 'no play'. Most of you forget that being in this position is fairly new to the Rockets. Francis is in his forth year and has played the point for four years, and he's still doing better than the prime-time point guards were doing in their first years. The guy simply is still learning a position he hasn't played for the majority of his career. I'm not saying that we don't need a few tweeks, but they are only a few. They could be a team loaded with talent and totally out of it, e.i. Clippers and Hawks, which analyst predicted them to be in the playoffs; aleast we're in the race. Fair-weather fans to me.
No, I'm just tired of the bashing. Being pessimistic in the easy way out. It's easier to do wrong than right.
The situation is tough right now for the Rox. It requires Rox to win at least 4 or 5 games of the remainning 7 games, and also Sun needs to lose more than 4 games of their remainning 8. Sun is a inconsistent tema, but somehow I just dont see they are going to lose more than 4 games from now on. I have a feeling that they are going to beat LA and portland. Also I am not sure Rox will more than 4 games by the way of current coaching and playing. Be realistic, man. I going to watch and hope, but I am not betting on the Rox.
I am being realistic, I just believe they have a better chance than Phoenix. All of the teams mentioned are trying to pace themselves and establish some consistancy going into the playoffs. These games won't be taken likely, at Phoenix's disposal.
here is the schedule for Phoenix and Houston: also, my predictions Phoenix (39-35) ---------------------------- vs. Minn L vs. LA Lakers L vs. Denver W vs. Dallas L vs. Golden St W vs. San Antonio L vs. Portland L vs. Seattle L >>>>2 wins, 6 losses (hopefully) record at the end of the season : (41-41) or (42-40) Houston(38-37) ------------------------------ vs. Philly L vs. Orlando W vs. Portland L vs. Utah L vs. Seattle W vs. Memphis W vs. Denver W >>>>4 wins, 3 losses (hopefully) record at the end of the season : (42-40) end the season with identical records, rox goes to playoffs because of tie breaker.
Being that the Rockets love to hand out coronaries to Houston fans, it will probably come down to the final possession in the closing seconds of the last regular season game. hmmm...so who would u want taking the shot? GO ROCKETS!!!
I like how everyone assumes that Phoenix will lose to every playoff level team that they're going to play, despite the fact that they spanked Detroit and Sacramento not too long ago. On the other hand, the Rockets are being given the benefit of the doubt against the Magic, although the Rockets haven't beaten a playoff team in recent memory.
This waiting and hoping just kills me, although I am wanting the rocks to win, I really just haven't seen the energy since Rudy left
