Schade. Es tut mir leid, Jackie.

It's an awful story. There's nothing to be ugly to him about.

ATW, you're always posting articles, but it's hard to detect a theme. Some synthesis of your own worldview, on a comprehensive scale, would be much appreciated.

Is such a tiny local news story thread worthy? Seriously. I understand (well, I recognize) the muzlem theme, but this should just be filed in Berlin news.

    What happened in Belfast today?

 well, I had to look it up, but it's actually more interesting and newsworthy!

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-23654843

Loyalist agitators injured dozens of police officers in a riot.

    None were muslims though. :-/

I have never been to Belfast.

But I live in Berlin part-time, and I know that Arab families are very involved in organized crime and intimidation in Berlin, coupled with ideological aggression as in the news article in the OP or in the video below (from leftist media "Spiegel TV").

    <iframe title="MRC TV video player" width="640" height="360" src="http://www.mrctv.org/embed/116033" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I understand that you, B-Bob, would prefer to suppress and ridicule news like this because they don't fit your leftist ideological leanings, but nobody is forcing you to read or comment.

    Deal with it.

Actually, that demonstrates that you don't understand me one iota. Oh well. What you understand is that I do not simply applaud your every post, opinion, and idea. That makes me someone who would "prefer to suppress and ridicule"? Um, no. It just makes me someone who occasionally (not always) disagrees with your prioritization of topics.

I have actually learned quite a bit about a longer history of muslim violence in America, and especially in San Francisco. You might particularly enjoy "Season of the Witch," a new book chronicling the radical history in this city. I for one had never heard of the horrific "Zebra murders" here, carried out at random by radical muslims.

I did not even "ridicule" your article. I just questioned if it was more of a local news piece.

Always do! Usually with a little bit of humor, whether it works or not. (e.g. pulling "Belfast" out of the air.) Cheers.

I always appreciate the humor. It's obviously your right to voice your opinion on what is a local news piece or not.

Ultimately, any news is a local news piece.

Just like some neighborhood watch guy killing a teenager in a hoodie, which would have been nothing more than a local news piece - if both people had been white or both people had been black - became much more than it originally was, among other reasons because some people saw their biases confirmed one way or another, this is more than a local news piece because it's not an isolated incident, but just another manifestation of an intolerant ideology.

    1. Create threads highlighting a loud minority within a religion creating trouble.

    2. Post how offended/disgusted you are of said religion.

    3. Bait posters to engage in a debate where both sides lose.

    4. Repeat after a week.

    5. Profit??

Come on man you should just make a main "Islamist" thread and post your stuff there. I have to admit i don't like the hardcore islamist jackasses like a lot of people but you are getting annoying.

So you're saying that you posted this because it confirms your own bias. Am I reading that right?

Yes, you are reading that right. And that applies to about 99.9 % of all threads started in the D&D. Or when was the last time you have seen a thread started by a left-wing poster that is aimed at making Republicans look good?

I can't speak for anyone else in D&D, but when I find myself aware of my own biases, I try to move past them by searching in myself for the root of those views. My biases impede my ability to think rationally and connect with others, so I try to rid myself of bias, not seek confirmation of it.

That said, I do wonder what your motivation is in posting these stories. Are you hoping, deep down, that someone will post a counterargument strong enough to dissuade you of your own bias? Not trying to analyze you, just sincerely curious.
