Seems people are voting on song and not actual conflict. Hit 'Em Up is a brutal diss record but the conflict was non-existent because Big and company were trying to deescalate it and didn't fire back.

I've heard it but it was released nearly a year after Pac's death and Diddy disputes the song is about him or Death Row. I don't know, I consider conflict to be when one fires a shot another fires a shot and so until a winner is declared or it tones down. Pac fired multiple shots and never received a response until after his death. Just doesn't seem like much of a beef.

Long Kiss Goodnight was about Tupac. Lil Cease confirmed this....he also said that what Biggie recorded at first was much much worse.

Biggie was definitely going at Tupac...and him freestyling that song on a California radio station is probably the reason he was killed March 9th 1997

However I do agree, that for the most part, Big was trying not to respond.

I liked the Nas/Jigga beef. Nas won that hands down though.

Tupac/Biggie before the murders. "Hit Em Up" destroyed the entire East Coast.

I also liked the Rick Ross/50 beef. Yeah, Ross is a fraud (former CO) but he single-handedly took 50 down by outselling him in records. 50 has more money, but he has lost his fanbase and street cred for "selling out" which gets me to....

I always hated the 50 Snitch Cent/Ja Rule beef. Yes, Ja's records became too "poppy," but if you look at his other songs and his lyrical ability, Ja is nicer than 75% of the rappers today.

In hindsight, 50 is idiotic for hating the man that created the type of rap music that helped him sell the majority of his records.

50 ridiculed Ja for singing/rapping in songs, but then turns around and makes Candy Shop, Just a Lil Bit, etc...The entire collection of 50 cent songs after Get Rich or Die Trying having him singing somewhere.

Ja was trying to become more mainstream after VVV. DMX was the rugged/street voice, JayZ was the smooth gangster voice, so Ja had to make his own lane. He was incredibly successful until 50 had some backing with Em and Dre.

It was the biggest hypocritical move ever. 50 Cent fans of that time failed to see this, and instead, jumped on the bandwagon.

The funny thing is that Ja opened the rap/singing door to a lot of the rappers of today.

There wouldn't be a Drake/Kanye/Kirko/Insert___rapper here if it weren't for Ja Rule making radio friendly songs.

I'm not even a huge fan, but I respect lyrical ability.

That's why Joe Budden, Slaughterhouse, AZ and Nas dominate my playlists.
