Don't pass him over when you are looking for the next starting PF for the Rockets. Casspi has a chance to be our "Ryan Anderson."

Nice line for a cheap asset. Thank you Murruh.

i'm not sold yet, because ryan ansderson can have that stat line against an NBA team. casspi can play, but i doubt he becomes the starter.

my guess is parsons and casspi both play the 4 with garcia/williams/harden rotating on the wing.

I would love to see him prove the doubters wrong, but remember - he has doubters in the first place. Despite playing for two sucky franchises, the man obviously needs to get better at basketball and overcome these last two years. Hopefully he gets back to that rookie year kind of production. Better yet, he does even better than that.

lol what? we signed him for the min, of course he own't be starting unless we have some injuries (knock on wood). as long as he can hit 3's and be serviceable on defense, good signing.

He can shoot, make plays for others and rebound the heck of it.
    Good allrounder like Parsons

he looked pretty bad in this video.......taking an ill-advised almost off balance 3, committing an needless foul which negated his teammate's swat, getting swatted himself in the paint, failing to close out on the 3-point shooter in transition, just poor defensive rotations overall, missing a clutch FT...

He's a poor man's Parsons. Dude is just average. That's all he is.

See I lift up my eyes where my help come from
And I seen it circling around from the mountain

You feel it in your chest
You keep my mind at ease and my soul at rest

Look to the sky where my help come from
Seen it circling around from the mountain

You feel it in your chest
You keep my mind at ease and my soul at rest
    You're not vexed

Sure he was bad with the Cavs but environment is key.
He is still young with 25, can still elevate his game. Time to DO IT.
He is paid minimum so overachieving would be gravy.

I argued in the 'Place your bets' thread that he was the most likely candidate to start at PF given his size, shooting, and experience. Certainly more likely than Asik or Camby.

Obviously things could change if Jones or DMo kill it in training camp. But Omri's about the same size as Morris and Patterson and has a comparable rebounding rate. We'll see.

You are a bit stretching it....I can see he takes up some PF time when we play small. Don't think he's on the level of starting PF.

Without significant improvement -- which we can hope for, but not depend on -- neither are any of our incumbent options at the position.

Good signing. Training camp and pre-season will really be interesting this year.
