Would you still be a Rockets fan if Lin would be traded?

Great post man, way to make it plain for everyone. This post really does a good job of articulating the different angles in the Lin flame war. At the very least it is a lot more informative than the never-ending trolling going on between the different combatants.

 

That's the most hilarious thing - you can't figure out why they are here and not on a Lin only Fan site! And you think their aim is to actually just turn this into LOF fan site? Like "they" have this collected agenda they hatched somewhere.

I don't care if Lin scores 5 points or 30 points, as long as he plays well and does something good.

You can keep posting that it's my fault blah blah blah, but you know it's not. all those complaints aren't because Tinman made a Phil Collins reference .

I post some Lin stuff here and there if I find it interesting, I do it for that reason.

If a Rocket fan sees one player who plays badly and says what he saw, he should get berated by a bunch of the players only fan.

The quality of the GARM hasn't been very great, and i've been here since you know when. Go to the Feedback and you'll figure out what people are complaining about.

You are telling these guys "you can't hurry love, you just have to wait"

but in the reality, the garm has turned into "the land of confusion"

is the word reaction by Rockets fans after a Rockets game all last year when they read any Lin threads.

 

Except for a handful of posters, most of the threads in the GARM have sucked for the past 9 years. It's been downright terrible. And you aren't making it any better.

Why don't you just try converting them to Rockets fans instead of complaining about how they aren't. If you care so much about the team, you'd think that would be important to you.

 

I started liking the Rox after Ralph's shot (HATED the Lakers) and their ill-fated but valiant attempt vs. the Celtics in 86. I was young but they were overmatched in that series against arguably the best Celtic team of the Bird era. My first trip to a live NBA game was when the Rockets visited the old Forum and I went to the game with a "LAKERS SUCK" poster board that my dad made me throw away after he found it tucked in my jacket.

I liked them more when Clyde joined (liked him since the Portland days as an "anti-Laker" - Portland had a semi-rivalry with the Lakers back in the 80s). Was a Nets fan all this time but that FINALLY got old when Kenyon Martin went 3-23 in Game 6 vs the Spurs.

Really like the Trailblazers and the Rockets throughout the 80s as the best Western hopes to defeat the Lakers. Blazers were never really threats but the Rockets proved they were.

- side note: Byron Scott sucks for basically benching Mutombo when he was coaching the Nets. Effing Laker.

Became a big fan when Yao joined so I guess I'm a YOF. I'm still here and really like the team now and I do like Lin too. I am Asian and do really want Lin to succeed. Have to admit that I do care about his stats more than the other guys. I still root for the team though.

I still don't understand how the mods let this crap go on about lof. How hard is it to merge, or stop these threads from happening? Just clean up the place and or put restrictions on the garm either on reps or threads
