Yao, T mac and Ron Artest for me. if they were 110% healthy they would've won back to back titles. Olajuwon, Barkley and Drexler were old.

By the way, our current team doesn't have a big three. Jeremy Lin and Parsons still have to improve. And they shouldn't be in here to begin with. We need to see them play first.

If Jeremy Lin or even Chandler Parsons counts as a piece of a big three then every team in the league has a big three, four, five, or more.

Haha Jeremy Lin does not belong in any big three at this point. He's barely holding onto his starting role. LOL

    Right now, definitely Hakeem-Clyde-Sir Charles.

Hope the new big 3/4 will prove themselves worthy. I have faith in Howard from his Orlando days. I just pray his back will hold up. And that's why Asik is very important to this team because we need him to protect the paint so Howard does not have to play more than 30 minutes a game on most nights.

McGrady and Artest never worked out. Not sure if it was completely different conflicting personalities and/or T-Mac was hurt. Howard/Harden /Parsons haven't played a game yet, but they have the most potential. Dream/Clyde/Barkley were in the limelight of their careers. Where's the Olajuwon/Thorpe/Maxwell choice? That team could play some incredible defense.

Thank you! Even though this was more of a twin towers + crazy cousin type of thing, they were definitely a big 3 as they were all leaders in some way and no way we win without those 2 next to Dream.

Hakeem Clyde Barkley were too old at the time.

Hakeem Clyde and garbage can in 96 is the best trio in rockets history.

I will say potential wise artest Yao and Tracy should have dominated. Too bad they couldn't stay on the court together.

What this guy said :) Damnit I wish Jordan was still playing those two seasons. I know we had the better team. Olajuwon was also the best player in the world. That's back when hand-checking was legal and zone defense illegal. I would have loved to see Maxwell and Jordan going at it on the biggest stage.

Yao/Scola/McGrady was developing into something in 07/08.

If I were reviewing Rocket's history I'd look at the "Big Twos".

    Hakeem & Sampson.

    Hakeem & Drex

    Yao & McGrady

    Howard & Harden

Looking at the roster we have now, it's really similar to the championship teams. We have an elite two-way centre, albeit not as good as Hakeem was. We've got an elite two-guard, and we've got a stacked roster of high quality role-players.
