Seeing how their "job" is mainly from Oct to April (making the easy assumption we don't make the playoffs), holding back on partying shouldn't be asking for the world from our players. With the way we are playing right now, they will have plenty of time to party with the premature ending of our season.
Or, as Oakley said, "at least 60%." When called on it he said, "Well, it's more than 50. And what's one up from fifty? Sixty." Sorry for the retread. I love that quote. Thanks for the info, RocketRich. I'd like to have Rudy back. Barring that, it's good to know Les likes Van Gundy. Barring that, any noise about Lucas?
I actually think weed helps to improve a person's game. Mo, if you are reading this, you need to smoke yao out. Seriously, all the pothead ballers I know swears on this. Kinda like how weed helps artists and skateboarders/snowboarders.
Yeah that's why Mo-T plays with such a passion for the game, and is overweight (too many late night munchies). Mo get off the dope and get on the boards! RRNY- THanks the the scoop, always appreciated!
That's what I thought you were going to say. That's the kind of scoop I don't like to hear about my rox. but thx for passing it along.
If this is true, I'm disappointed in Griffin. I'm hoping that he grows up and stops all of that foolishness, as well as the others. Party in the off-season, fellas!
Good news...maybe there's hope Steve will "get it"! RRNYC - As always, enjoyed your take. Aside from the great info, thanks for not being a self-righteous jerk like Troy Barros.
Am I the only one that thinks Eddie would be the life of the party Most interesting part of the scoop. Implies that Rudy may actually voluntarily step down depending on his health (at which point, I think most of the assistants have reason to worry). From a complete basketball (not health standpoint), rudy's forced leave of absence will probably be a good thing in the long run. It 1) Allows Rudy to step back and see the team for what it truly is. I believe there are a lot of problems with the team that when you are there everyday and don;t have the chance to take an outside perspective and to see what your team is doing with its talent and compare it to what other teams are doing with their talent, may be harder to identify. 2) May prevent the team from making the playoffs. This could be a good or bad thing. As a fan, I am 100% for the playoffs. But, neither Houston or Phoenix are worthy of the spot, imo. While the difference between making it and not will probably only be one game, not making the playoffs may be that "wake-up" call Les needs. 3) Gives Larry Smith a go at coachign and proves what many of us believed already - no matter how many years they have been on the bench or how much tape they've analyzed, the Rockets are lacking in the assistant coaches department.
I am sure J Posey will want more money--but who will offer him more than the MCE? Denver--well, they just traded him Utah--maybe, extra benifit would be keeping him off the Rockets--but he really does't seem to have the J for them. SA--maybe, but probably not with Bowen, Gino & Jackson--they are going for a different fish probably. Who else has space that would offer more than the MCE to Posey?
I went to Stevies birthday party last year at the Mercury room and these were my observations... 1. Steve drank Corona but only a few. 2. Moochie and Cuttino stayed to themselves and had watered down mixed drinks. 3. Glen or TMo didn't drink at all. 4 Kenny Thomas out drank everyone in the room and bought yours truly a crown and seven. The thing that impressed me the most about that party was Kevin Garnett. 1. Didn't drink. 2. Very polite (yes sir) 3. Quiet 4. Gracious to fans
KG has always been a good kid. Included in the good kid list is Rashad Lewis, Yao Ming, Kenny Anderson (Portland), SAR, Elton Brand, Richard Jefferson, Mike Dunleavy, Nene Hilario, Antonio Mcdyse, Eric Scow. I believe that DWI embarrasement changed Stevie alot. I woke up this morning (waaay before reading this thread) and thought to myself that this could be it for Rudy. Scary hah?
I want to go to Steve's birthday party! "Most interesting part of the scoop. That is exactly what we need. The Rockets organization needs to fully realize that there needs to be some type of changes. Everyone outside of the team can observe all our playing problems. They need to change.
I thought KG and Steve hated each other, lol. J/K. Thought there was a rift though. Was Steve's bday in the offseason?
