It might be a PR move, but the kid is going to be happy regardless.
Can't we just leave it at that?

I agree this is PR and should be ignored. A real franchise star would have at least given the guy $300.

Cool story. The kid's response was awesome, considering he's only a high school kid and doesn't need any PR move.

Meh....would have been better if kid stalks Lillard and surprises him at his door step.

    You sound unhappy with clutchfans.

Actually the exchange pretty much summed up how both athletes and fans should interact with each other. Sounds like Damian told the kid to wait up but the kid took off not wanting to bother him. When he saw the tweet the fan was cool too, saying it was fine. Damian ended up being a nice guy and taking a picture with him.

Half the time it's players acting like asses but the other half it's fans who act a fool trying to get a picture or autograph. Both these dudes were cool.

Nah he doesnt need good PR.

It's not like there's video of him telling the kid to F'off or something.

Players shouldn't have to sign every autograph. They deserve a break. Fans seem so annoying and sensitive

Ugh I hate that Adidas commercial. It's one of a few that I have to instantly grab the remote and change the channel every time it comes on. Just so damn tilting for some unknown reason. Maybe it's the voice of the guy doing the dumbass nursery rhyme. Really grinds my gears.

'There was a family of quicks on my block, a family we all knew. I'm talkin 'bout John, Damian and that boy Jrue.'

    puke

Yeah I dont like it either lol....

It was cool of Lillard to go back and take a pic and he never even had to let people know he blew the kid off.

This. Regardless of motive, he made a high school kid happy and gave him a story he's going to be telling his friends for a long time.

And it's Lillard, why would he even need a PR move? From what I've read, he's a popular guy with fans and teammates and he hasn't had bad PR.

Giving back to your fans is never a bad investment. Unless its an STD, then you might have made a bad investment to give back to your fans.
