Lol you're all questioning this move but these were the type of moves Morey made and that you wanted before we had Harden and Dwight
Great move for them. Now they have some shooting on that team. Especially with Datome and Billups too.
Detroit didn't overpay for Jennings at all. Its a nice move. $8 million a year puts Jennings at around the same pay scale as George Hill, Calderon or Dragic. Plus Billups can be a real mentor for Jennings. Billups was also a chucker early in his career.

Y! May even make some noise. I think Detroit and Dallas are going to suprise a few people next year.
they're basically the same player, but knight is cheaper totally makes sense. I guess joe dumars wants to reel in all that Lakewood money. Jennings is a cash cow.
Well they will be competitive in the east outside of the top 4 teams. Not a contender, but good enough to put fannies in the seats.
I can't believe they gave up Knight... I would have tried to get rid of the $8.5 million Stuckey's owed next year.
Jeez. Joe Dumars didn't learn anything from the Ben Johnson / Charlie Villanueva debacle? If his young bigs can play at a high level, maybe Detroit can squeeze into the playoffs. And that's all they'll do for years, what with that lineup. MAYBE get into the playoffs.
Charlie Villanueva $8.5 million Rodney Stuckey $8.5 million Next season plus Josh Smith 4 years $56 million and now Jennings. What a joke.
Jennings Caldwell pope Smith Monroe Drummond Not bad...not bad at all. Better than Atlanta in my opinion..they are tougher than the Knicks..I think it's a 6th seed at best
Ariza, Brad Miller - some might argue Lin. Morey loves to gamble, and he had to gamble a lot (T-Will, T-Rob, Thabeet, Flynn, Asik, Lin...) - on some he hit on some he missed, but most of those gambles were critized. I am not saying, that this is a good deal, but it isn`t horrible. Jennings has shown flashes, yet has major holes in his game and is extremely unefficient. But he is also still young and hasn`t played for a real good franchise so far. For Detroit it is a gamble, that costs them the same as Lin costs us. But if they can develope him, he might easily outperform his contract. And why does Detroit do it? They have been far away from being relevant - now they are swinging for the fences with his and Josh Smith. Don`t forget about Drummond and Stuckey and they have some at least exciting pieces. They will be fun to watch, whether it is a playoff team or a big mess.
I think the eastern conference the way that it is, it might actually work. A 5th seed isn't out of the question for them.
