Of course. Chandler can even convince Dirk to play for Team USA.

Chandler is a smart guy. He will try to emulate the Prince/Battier model and be the defensive and versatile player who can hit the open shot.

Kyrie Irving is Australian born. What if Wiggins decides to take his talents to Team USA and get US citizenship?

Barnes is a good player but has only one season, i know parson only has 2, but he played four years in college as well. It will be interesting to see who emerges as a more consistent/versatile player.

I also think that Parsons having 1 or 2 team mates on team USA would help his chances of getting a spot. If Harden and or Howard pushes for CP to be on the team, it might just edge him Pass Barnes.

That's right but two different situations. Kyrie never played for any of the Australian national teams, including the Juniors.

Wiggins already played in the FIBA U17 and U18 Championships for Canada.

Roy Hibbert was trying to play for Team USA at the 2012 Olympics, but he wasn't able to due already playing for Jamaica.

How many years did melo play in college? How about Lebron? Anyways I think chandler is slightly better than barnes but it will be close. And to whoever said george is a great shooter you're wrong, and I'm not taking anything away from PG but he's not a GREAT shooter

Chandler didn't impress much in the blue vs white game....missed his outside shots and got run off some screens...but its still a long ways to go.

Coaches hardly base selection on what they see in a Televised scrimmage, i have a feeling that the game was more a showcase for the fans then a real tryout type of scrimmage.

The decision date for the roster is very far away-- remember that the competition is not until summer 2014. What happened just now is a brief training camp for everyone to get to know each other. So, I'm pretty sure what each player does over the course of the next NBA season (and for two of the guys, college season) will be a part of the calculation.

I hope Chandler doesn't make it. If he does, it's an indication we're going back to 2002, when we thought we could send anyone and still win.

Of course, Barnes and Hayward would mean the same thing.

Rather strange logic there, but I guess I get it.

I had a friend in college whose mother thought he was kind of a slacker. As a result, any girl he dated was deemed to have low standards, and therefore not worthy of dating her son.

Yep. Let's hope CP doesn't make it. That would be not be a good sign.

Chandler can play WITH anybody....can perform needed functions and more at the highest level ala Battier ....And there's upside.

It actually wouldn't come as a COMPLETE surprise for me ....if he was named. They want him to progress and he can do multiple jobs on TeamUSA...

Chandler Bang is not just big in OUR future, but in the NBA's future....

They would take a center like Cousins long before an sf like Parsons

Hmm, if the likes of Griffin, Love, Aldridge is playing the 4 spot, Lebron and Melo will be back at the 3 spot. Couple with Durant and George.

Parsons will not have a chance.

NO. They view attitude, maturity and integrity as relevant factors. Cousins has none. He has to grow into that role.

Injuries. I say Parsons has a chance after all.
