Sugar Land has them currently in stock. You can order online for in-store pickup with the Netflix deal. I already received my confirmation, but the store is closed, so I'm not sure if they will do the "inventory check" tonight or not.
Yeah, online pickup works for Sugar Land but nowhere else yet. Best Buy still has the 3-month Netflix promo banner, too, so I think you'll be able to squeeze Google for that code, or at least get something from Best Buy since you that's part of the reason you're buying it. Unfortunately, I'll be out of town so I won't be able to hold it at Sugar Land for when I get back. It sucks that Google killed the promo before it even hit the shelves of brick and mortar stores.
You can put someone else down to pick it up for you. I don't mind doing it, as I'm going already. But I just checked again and their out of inventory already.
Thanks for the offer, redefined. Three free months of Netflix is nice, but I don't really need it that much to go through the hassle of going down to Sugar Land, sending someone, or taking time out of your day to meet up later.
No longer, but the Galleria location did. I'll pick it up tomorrow morning on the way to work assuming they send the email notifying it's ready before I leave. BTW, it said I got the Netflix deal.
My location, which told me they were getting them in last night at seven didn't have them today. Said they sold out, which I didn't believe. I checked with someone else in the store, who said they don't seem to have ever gotten them. Then, a manager stopped me and said that they are getting them via UPS or something and it might be a different day but should be soon.. They took my name an number and will call apparently.
If anyone is still interested, I think the Woodlands location is the only place left in Houston you can still do this deal at. Order online for store pickup and you get the netflix coupon via digital download.
Just picked up a N7 and Chromecast with Netflix at the Sugarland BB. Was worried about lag streaming hulu from a chrome tab, but no lag and the audio/video syncs up great. Awesome buy for $35. Glad I got in on the Netflix deal in time. One I noticed is I can't chromecast a Chrome tab from the mobile browser. Am I overlooking something?
This is why I have a feeling my Best Buy may be lying to me about the Chromecast. It would make sense for these and the new Nexus to come in on the same shipment, right? As they're telling me they didn't have any chromecasts, the girl is behind them stocking the new Nexus....
Bought mine last night, got the digital direct download code via email from bestbuy, but then when i clicked on it, gave me a technical error. Now I'm sitting on hold with bestbuy customer support (going on 24mins) and wanting to kill self. Also prepared a whole review of the actual chromecast product but then my cookies expired when I submitted the post. #FirstWorldProblems #RetryTonight?
I think people said they got invalid code errors and they called netflix CS and they processed it for them.
How are you buying Chromecast online from Best Buy? It won't let me do it. I couldn't even do it yesterday morning. Just shows it being unavailable in all of the stores.
The Woodlands store is the only one available. For what it's worth, it said I'd have the coupon in 15 minutes and I have not received. Customer support was zero help. Basically said "ask someone at the Best Buy store."
It showed me unavailable for The Woodlands too. It wouldn't let me purchase it. ::EDIT:: Was told that the store off highway 6 in Copperfield will have some arrive "later today" so I'll just check on that later.
I was ordering it to ship to me from their site. It will allow me to expedite shipping to have by Monday but I haven't gone through with the transaction. I'm gonna stop by the Best Buy in Katy tonight since I have to drive out there to Home Depot anyways. If they are still out I might order tonight, but I don't really care about Netflix since I already have a paid subscription for it.
