I missed like the first 10 mins of the movie, but I liked it, it was interesting. If you one of those people that don't enjoy indy movies you won't like this. I chuckled when they showed the main guy had a tramp stamp. But now I'm ready to watch that movie Buried. That looks interesting.

I can appreciate a good indie. I felt this one was mediocre. Unique. Ill give it that.

Want to see it, but its on limited and no theaters around here have it. One of my theaters sometimes gets limited releases a little while after they come out, so im hoping

I have a pretty full slate of movies to see anyway. I finally saw the Town yesterday (was great), and I want to see Wall Street 2, then Friday I got the Social Network (Looks amazing and reviews are amazing) and Let Me In, then the next week I got Buried

Do you live in Houston? Cause they are showing it at the Edwards theater close to the old compaq center. I missed 10 mins of it because the garrage was so big that I couldn't find my way in. And as I was watching the movie, those guys that was working there kept going in and out with their glow stinks. It got annoying.

Nah, I live near Beaumont. I don't want to see it badly enough to make the drive. I'm just gonna either hope it comes to our Cinemark or wait for DVD release.

The closest I've ever come to throwing my drink at the screen.

I give them props for their very misleading ad campaign. It certainly had me fooled.

The creators insist it was real, but the show itself is a catfish. Its not real.

Interesting bump, but I guess it's somewhat topical considering they have an eponymous TV show now.

Whether it's real or fake is still somewhat up for debate. The guys that made it swear that it's real, of course, but Morgan Spurlock, a documentarian himself, is convinced it's fake. He went so far as to call it the "best fake documentary of all-time" or something along those lines.

I saw the first few episodes of the TV show, but I haven't watch since then. I guess it's the nature of the beast with a show like that, but my big gripe with the show was that it was the exact. same. thing. every single time.

Guy or girl is convinced that he or she has met their soulmate who also happens to be way out of their league, they meet with said person and find out they aren't who they said they are at all and then at the end, we find out what tragic life event brought the "catfish" to do what they did. Maybe it has happened since I stopped watching, but just once I'd like the person to be exactly who they said they were online just to mix things up.

It's funny, because most are like this. The last episode, though, guy and girl had been talking for 8 years. They are about in each other's league. Guy never would buy a webcam. In the 8 years, girl has a kid, gets engaged, calls off engagement (because of internet guy). The girl was 5 hours away from the guy at one point, and the guy made up excuses why he couldn't see her. Guy's phone is registered to some married, old guy. Everyone thinks he's a fake, and they're preparing the girl for him to be a fake. Girl swears he's real.

They show up to his house, and he's real.

The "normal" episode was almost as weird as a regular episode.

What guy with nothing to hide talks to an attractive chick for 8 years that he likes and lets her have a kid with another guy and almost get married?

    Weirdo.

That just seemed completely contrived and fake as hell. I can't bring myself to believe that someone who claims to love another person would spend 8 years watching her have a kid, get engaged, call off the engagement, and not visit when she was 5 hours away. The thought of buying a webcam NEVER crossed his mind?? Then when confronted about it, he says, "I guess I just never thought it was that important." Seriously?? Give me a break.

Maybe he's waiting for 8 years before he will kiss her. Another 8 and they will have sex. If she loves him, she'll understand. That's just some people's moral codes.

I actually think the show is somewhat real and the movie is somewhat fake.

There's a lot of truth in lies though, so it's hard to decipher.

My uncle was in a 2 year "relationship" with someone who he met online. The couple started with the basics exchanging photos and then gradually lead to sexting. Eventually one thing lead to another and he was lured to finally meet her under the pretense of sexual contact. He is now incarcerated for the next 3 years and is able for a parole hearing in 18 months.
