    Hello,

    While many Yao-only fans are getting angry on how L.Smith played Yao recently, I would say that he is doing something really good for Yao's future but not for Rocket this year.

    Here is why:
    Q: What is the weakness of Yao?
    A: Lack of aggressive!
    Q: how to improve it?
    A: play ISO in Smith's style in the only way! How can you improve your weakness by avoiding it?

    In this sense, Larry Smith is really a good coach for Yao currently (of couse not in the future ring run...). If yao can improve 30% aggresive in paint this year, do you care if we miss the play off this year?

    Q: why is it bad for Rocket this year?
    A: ok, everybody knows, thousands details analysis in other threads...

    It's not the coaching. He just ran into the Daddy and got embarrased badly. Give it some time. The big fellow will heal.

    If he is to play ISO under Larrys coaching , what was he playing under Rudy?

    i'm been thinking the exact same thing. the one thing that yao ming needs in order to become the "MD" center is an aggressive, bang 'em up interior game. and that is exactly what larry "mr. mean" smith is forcing yao to do. if yao plays the vlade game, he sits. if yao plays rough and tumble, he plays. in the long run, this might be the greatest thing to ever happen to yao ming...

    the great players of the nba accept and conquer any challenges.

    I agree.

    Life can be dirty,
    Life can even be painful;
    But life is what you make it,
    So try to make it beautiful.
