Hate Braun's "apology." He talks about how he has made mistakes and that he has disappointed all these people, but he never admits exactly what he did wrong. Almost as if saying it out loud would make it real.

It escapes me right now, but there was someone several years ago that apologized in this same manner and I hated it just as much then.

Mark McGwire was pretty similiar... only saying that he was not here to talk about the past.

    Braun is a POS.

I wish ARod would be banned from baseball.

I have Braun, Cabrera, Peralta, Cruz and Colon in my fantasy baseball league. Thanks Obama.

I know ARod is a dbag, but am I the only one that thinks Braun is much more of a dbag? Something about that guy just screams dbag. Either that or it's because ARod has already been crapped on enough. Oh well, baseball still sucks.

I guess I should have said 'regular season baseball still sucks'. I do somewhat enjoy playoff baseball. For someone who doesn't care much for baseball, I've sure gotten lucky with local world series champions (2xMarlins, 2xGiants).

Fair enough. Besides, I'm the only one in my family who gives two craps about the sport.

They are both dbags. ARod deserves everything negative about him at this point. He is a terrible human being. He cheats at baseball, cheats on his wife, tries to pick up girls in the middle of a game, and he is a frequent liar. All while earning over $500M for his career (by the end of his contract).

Read a tweet yesterday that said:

When a baseball player is linked with PED's and given a suspension, there's tremendous outrage.

When an NFL player is linked with PED's and given a suspension, the response is, "well, when does he get back?"

The "outrage" is beyond ridiculous at this point. Ain't nobody got time for that.

The response to Braun, though, seems to be more about him demonizing those who dared suggest that he took PED's...only to find out he had been doing it all along. If you have it in you to muster outrage about pro sports, I suppose that's worthy of outrage.

It was a little different with Giambi. I never understood the hate he got. He was under legal investigation and MLB didn't have the power to suspend then that they do now. Back then they couldn't suspend without an admission or a failed test.

Giambi couldn't be more thorough than he was, but even he kind of gave reporters the "come on man!" when they acted like they didn't know what he was apologizing for.

I've never rooted harder for a steroid guy to get busted than I have for Braun. The guy's speech when he was originally let off the hook was such a farce. He acted like he got off because he was innocent and got very self righteous. I'm so glad they've busted him now. Apparently players around the league really wanted him to get popped.

Do people in America legitimately think that Adrian Peterson came back clean? Obviously what he did/the season he had is unprecedented given the injury, but the idealist in me wants to believe he wasn't on anything.

Is Braun honestly going Rafael Palmeiro on us here?

Being lying SOBs is a big part of why Braun & ARod have been the skewered for this (and being former MVPs). Honestly, I can't remember most of the other guys. I know Melky, FMart, and Cruz were on the list, along with Gio who was cleared.

They are a far greater disgrace to the game than Pete Rose, IMO.

ARod is being skewered because, while not to the level of Bonds, he was disliked to begin with by the media and fans and other players for various reasons. He's been aloof and a jerk, though not abrasive like Bonds and has routinely been ranked as one of the most disliked players by OTHER players. A lot of that is jealousy of course because of the contract, but oh well. It got only worse when he became a Yankee and then got even worse when he opted out and got the next huge deal.

A lot of people were thrilled when the roids stuff came out on him because people were waiting to take him down.

Braun apparently was incredibly self righteous and tried to destroy reporters who went after him.
